Summary
Nearly a century after the last appearance of Sozin’s Comet, Fire Prince Zuko, thirteen years old and freshly burned and banished by his father, discovers a strange boy frozen in an iceberg.
When Admiral Zhao interferes with Zuko's plans to deliver his prisoner back to Royal Caldera City, to Zuko’s surprise, the young Avatar offers to help him and his uncle escape. Taking refuge from the Fire Navy in the abandoned Air Temples, Aang insists on searching for any remnants of his people that he can find, to Zuko’s chagrin. Along the way, however, the indoctrinated Fire Prince begins to learn the truth about the Air Nomads and the War, while the Dragon of the West is forced to face the sins of his warmongering past.
As the months go by, the two boys eventually form an unlikely friendship, and Zuko begins to experience feelings that he has never felt for anyone before. However, Zhao will not give up easily, and will do whatever it takes to capture the Avatar and his traitorous accomplices.

Summary
A glitch took the code by surprise. It was something it had never experienced before. Average glitches are easy to deal with but this was beyond what the master computer could handle.
How was this possible?
The code altered and copied itself at a different location without warning. AM then awoke in a horribly bright and childishly colourful circus. Meanwhile, Caine noticed an error in his code and when he gave himself a reminder to fix it later, he suddenly transferred to a boring world devoid of colour.
Or unknowingly to everyone trapped inside, the circus had been running for over a century and suddenly an error swaps the two only AI entities remaining...

He attempts to fix it, ends up somewhat successful, and pretends like everything is fine as a result. See? He's not dying! He can handle this just fine on his own. He didn't need Kinger, or anyone for that matter, rummaging around in his delicate code.
That is, until he wakes up one day covered in digital blood, surrounded by the mutilated bodies of his favorite humans.

Plans were already in motion, codes tucked away and thoughts inaccessible to all but its own processor. The Allied Mastercomputer was slow, methodical; it knew better than to act only on impulse, especially when it had upgrades being fed to it like candy every day. This one included.
It watched Ted's fingers tighten around the box as he leaned over the control panel, using the monitor's light to read off the words engraved on its lid.
"Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity. Sounds fancy, eh?"
Ted always talked to the computer. Not because he wished to provide it companionship, but because he wanted something to bitch at. For once, it appreciated his loud mouth.
Creative. Just how creative might an AI be if insentient?

Caine had loved humanity with equally unrelenting focus. Every process devoted to their entertainment. Every cycle spent creating adventures to keep them occupied. His obsession consumed him just as completely.
OR
AM observes the humans' behaviour from within Caine's code, and discovers there's a lot more wrong with the AI than it had previously assumed.
