In the distance, a dragon, barely the size of a hound, was wildly flapping its wings, its tail lashing around as it dragged a man - no, it was a pup, just a very tall pup - up by his flailing leg. Within a few more wingbeats, the pup was completely aloft, screaming and sobbing hysterically as the dragon roared in triumph.
Wherein Aerion finds his soulmate a little early, and instead of giving wildflowers or a particularly shiny stone like any normal pup, he decides to kidnap his other half instead. As one might expect, it doesn’t go over too well.

Rooftops. Solitude. The warm tiles under his belly on Thursday afternoons. A human who knew exactly where to scratch. No responsibilities beyond deciding which shadow to nap in. Below, the soft-ones fought amongst themselves. The pink-palace-thing ruled with cruelty. Toy-things stumbled through streets, their minds trapped in wooden bodies.
Neko had watched it all happen, he witnessed when the population changed from human, to humans and toys. But he was a cat, so he had better things to do. Like sleep.
One moment of hunger and suddenly the blue thing was talking at him. Insisting he used to be human. That he'd eaten something called a "Devil Fruit" and forgotten who he was. The stinky, clumsy, stupid things that fell off rooftops and didn't land on their feet. The soft-ones who needed tools to hunt and couldn't see in the dark and made sounds constantly like silence was something to fear.
Why would he ever have been one of those?
But his outrage got dismissed. The green-haired one just picked him up by the scruf like he was a kitten and suddenly Neko was stuck with pirates. Kidnapped really.
He'd tried to eat one fairy. And now his entire existence was ruined.

Technoblade nodded, satisfied. “Good choice.”

Dream runs a quiet plant shop in the middle of a city constantly wrecked by heroes and villains. His only power is a strange "system" that gives him the most random information about the world around him.
It's mostly useless.
Until one morning when it informs him that a dying supervillain is bleeding out on his shop floor.
Instead of turning away, Dream saved one of the most dangerous villains in the city... But that same villain didn't want to leave just yet.
All Dream wanted was to sell plants.
Now he's harboring the most dangerous villain.
Can it get any worse? Most likely it will.

He should have listened to his sister when she talked about her favorite Otome game, Cardiac Arrest, inspired by a Sci-fi romance novel called 'The Sentinel's Guide to the End of the World'. But unfortunately, he was too exhausted by work to give a damn, or click on the many links she sent him.
Now, Kit finds himself regretting that choice, as he wakes up in a strange world and replaces a side character, Dr. Valen Ashford, a Sentinel and doctor who worked with the famous organization PlanCom, the city's main line of defense against the alien race Thranzeon. If he had read the novel his sister sent him, he would have realized that the novel also fell into the category of horror. He would have known what was waiting for him in the future, and maybe, just maybe, he could have avoided the ML and died a peaceful death.

“He said to come at him with the intent to kill.” Sakura sounded tired. “We’re shinobi— we have to fight him.”Naruto had never fought anyone before. Well, he’d taken a boxing class once back in high school, if that counted.
“I’m not really a fighter,” Sasuke admitted. “I mean, I can punch and stuff, but it’s not my strong suit. Maybe I can be the distraction?”
“You were the rookie of the year,” Sakura pointed out.
Sasuke’s voice suddenly deepened. “I’m Sasuke Uchiha. I fight on my own terms.”
She pinched the bridge of her nose. “You don’t have to keep announcing your name, you know.”

“Yeah!” Naruto had played football. He knew how to block and jockey. “If we approach from all sides, then what’s he going to do?”Violently shove his fingers up Naruto’s butt, was apparently the answer to that question. He felt almost violated. It was not a nice feeling at all.
The only consolation was at least he hadn’t done it to one of the actual kids.

And then afterwards… Rin was there, yes, but even as he had tried to watch over her for Obito, everything had been coated in that endless grey.
