Summary
Hilda was a fiend when it came to paranormal romances; something about the literal monstrosity of the male lead made the romance more engaging than normal romance books for her. It was almost embarrassing how deeply she drowned herself in the genre, enjoying the butterflies and excitement of love that she could never seem to muster up for any of the boys in her college classes.
Her family had made more than one comment about how she should have had at least one boyfriend by now. But how was she supposed to do that when none of the boys she met ever lived up to that pretty little fantasy in her head? Where was that tall, gorgeous man with haunted but soulful eyes who would protect her with his supernatural abilities? Who she could tenderly assure that no, he’s not a monster, not to her?
She wondered if he could be in the Garreg Mach Mountains.
In other words, Hilda becomes a camp counselor in search of a werewolf boyfriend. Cue shenanigans as she tries to figure out who among her male co-counselors is most likely the werewolf, while her mysterious roommate Marianne goes out every night for undisclosed reasons.

Nancy looked at her incredulously. “You…You don’t?”
Robin shook her head. “I’m flattered. Everyone knows you’re the most beautiful woman in Hawkins. It’s kind of nice to pretend that you might want somebody like me as frightfully as we all want you.”

“You will marry Arlecchino.”
The Knave, an ever-immovable force who had been oh-so silent for the last hour, promptly choked on her tea.

If Robin didn’t know it already, she’d have guessed that Nancy had mastered the art of self-control when she sat on both of her hands to restrain herself.

Nancy hesitantly picked up the rotary phone from her bedside table, her hands still trembling as she resigned herself to dialing the ever-familiar number. She bit her lip, trying not to think too hard about what she was doing.
After a few rings, a groggy voice rang through the speakers. "Robin Buckley speaking, and you better have a good reason for calling at two in the morning, because I swear to God if this is a telemarketer --"
"Robin," Nancy cut her off, trying to stabilize her own voice before she continued. "Not a telemarketer. It's -- it's me."
"Nance?" Robin's voice grew soft with worry, and Nancy felt her shoulders relax. She tried to ignore the warmth that rose to her cheeks. "What's the matter? Are you okay?"
"I'm home." she replied, her voice still quiet, a whisper underneath the screams of stop inside her own head. "Can you come over?"

“We’ll find some headphones,” Dustin says helpfully as Steve takes Robin by the hand and leads her up the stairs. She hadn’t expected “going to get air” as a group activity, but now, Steve and her are making a swift exit and Nancy is just staring at the two, mouth gaped slightly, eyes big and wide.
Robin forces herself to look away, to look forward, and allow herself to be led out and ignore the swirling in her chest.
OR: Robin Buckley is experiencing hallucinations from Vecna. Guess, there's no perfect time to come out to the girl of your dreams, Nancy, and have a heart to heart with your best friend, Steve.

The climb is steeper than Sciel remembers, and the metal groans softly beneath her as she ascends the final ladder. Her hand ghosts along rusted beams warped by time and ink, passing the old scratched initials—lovers used to come up here, the letterings long since faded with the oxidation.
She almost laughs at herself. What was she hoping for? That the room might still feel the same? That she might feel the same?
Then she steps inside, and the moment her eyes adjust—
“Sciel,” Lune says in a breath caught somewhere in between. Her guitar disappears in a flurry of chroma particles. “Of course you’d run into me up here.”
