Summary
Two and a half years after Carol Sturka saved the world, Zosia still hates her. No, that's not quite right. Well she doesn't not hate her. But the word isn't quite strong enough. She thinks about her all the time. Between shitty cups of staffroom coffee, impassioned lectures to dozing students, and reading Carol's ridiculous romantasies (she only picked it up because it's rude to leave a charity shop without buying anything).
Fic version of 'what would happen, if you just...called Taylor up?'

Summary
Emma Nolan is just trying to survive her new job in the Pitt.
After she was attacked on her first day, getting stronger seemed like a good idea.
Developing a gym crush on an arrogant, brutally honest ortho resident who won’t stop correcting her?
Less so.
Especially when he’s right about everything.
***
Brendon Park is just trying to finish his residency and leave Pittsburgh behind.
He has a fellowship in California, a plan, and no intention of getting attached to anything—or anyone—here.
Taking an interest in a nurse from the ED who always seems to be training next to him?
Ill-advised.
Especially when he can’t seem to stop spotting her.

Summary
Ever since Dennis Whitaker left home, he'd always expected to be alone. He didn't count on abrasive, sharp-edged and sharper tongued Trinity Santos not knowing when to leave well enough alone. The last thing he expected was to be offered a rent-free room in her apartment as long as he changed his hair and accepted death penalty if he left the toilet seat up.
OR
The one in which Trinity adopts Dennis like an emotional support foster kitten, and he adopts her too she just doesn't know it. ft gay pining after attendings and emotionally unavailable surgeons
OR
She narrowed her eyes at him. “You’re a terrible liar, Huckleberry,” she said flatly.
“I’m not lying.”
The bus lurched again, and this time she didn’t move away when their shoulders knocked together. Neither did he.
“It’s okay if you are. Just have the decency to be good at it.”
“Colossians 3:9, ‘Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices’,” Dennis recited almost instinctively.
She just raised an eyebrow. “I see you’ve had practice with all this fucking memorisation needed for med school. Maybe you could help me out with pharmacology.”Bookmarked by FragileThingWithFeathers

Summary
Novelist Carol Sturka is still grieving the loss of her beloved wife when the management at her publishing house force her to work with a new manager on her Europe/UK book tour after the disaster that was her US tour.
Shenanigans ensue.
OR
“You call being forcefully escorted out of an establishment after engaging in a physical altercation with a member of the public an incident?”
Carol winced.
“Is arriving late to most of your events and then refusing to sign a paying customer’s copy because she has ‘a weird energy’ an incident? Is—”
“I get the idea,” Carol interrupted. “Can you just?” Her hand facing downwards, she gestured for him to calm down and sit down. Her palm had left a sweaty impression on the ridiculous table. She collapsed back into the chair and let out a heavy sigh.

Summary
“What, um,” she swallows and pushes her braid back over her shoulder with her other hand, “what are you doing?” Her voice wavers, and she hates that he might hear it. Hates that he might be able to read her mind—she’s never been good at hiding her emotions, they’re always painted plainly on her face.
“One, I need to hold onto something,” he explains, leaving no room for questions, “and two, I don’t want you to jump away from me while you help.”
“Help?” Emma slowly raises her eyes to meet his.
“Yes, help,” he says flatly, blue eyes boring into hers so intensely she’s sure he can tell what she’s thinking. “I can’t suture with one hand. I need you to be the other one.”
“I–I’m not sure I’m the best person for this,” she glances over her shoulder, looking to signal Donnie or someone who’s actually good at sutures. Her brain scrambles for an out, something to ground herself, to slow this down. “I’ve barely been here a month and—”
“And I’ve been doing this for twenty years, so you’ll be safe with me.”

Summary
In a world where the first words your soulmate speaks to you are tattooed on your skin, Dennis got the short end of the stick when he finds his to be "Nice to meet you." (What kind of random bullshit is that?)
Now meet Michael "Robby" Robinavitch who has been living with a "Uh, Dennis Whitaker, MS4" on his ribs but doesn't believe in soulmates.

Chap 7, this is genuinely one of my fave WIPs, if not it! Great characterisations, gorgeous writing, and such a fun concept so brilliantly and throughly explored!

Summary
Michael Robinavitch has a problem: it seems he has a thing for his subordinate. No, bad phrasing. The problem isn’t that Whitaker is his subordinate — the problem is that no matter what Robby does, everything only gets worse.

Summary
As he walked across the rooftop, he almost missed the figure standing at the edge, practically offering himself to the void below. He couldn't figure who it was but his senses exploded like earlier before the announcement of the Pitt Fest. Without thinking, Dennis shot a web that stuck to the man’s back, pulling him backward against the barrier, away from danger.
“What the fuck?!” the man cursed, now clinging tightly to the railing.
“That wasn’t a good idea, sir. You wouldn’t survive a fall like that—even from the top of a hospital.” He couldn't hear his own words, his heartbeat was too loud.
The man turned to face him, and for a moment his lungs forgot to breathe, the sirens in his head had gone silent because he recognized the familiar face of his mentor, Dr. Robinavitch. When Robby realized who he was dealing with, he let out a small, hollow laugh.
Or…
Dr. Robby develops a weird attraction for Spider-man after he saved him from jumping off the roof of the Pitt after the events of the PittFest. What he ignores is that his savior’s identity is actually Dennis Whitaker, his shy new student doctor.

Summary
She’s drunk on the floor of Trinity and Whitaker’s living room, and they’re talking about nudes when she admits she’s taken them, but never built up the courage to send any. That it’s always felt awkward, that she’s never felt pretty or sexy or delicate enough, that it’s always felt cringe.
Trinity blinks at her in confusion. “But you’re hotter than the surface of the fucking sun. I’ve seen what’s under your scrubs, Samira. What do you fucking mean, not sexy enough?”
“Seriously, have you seen yourself?” Mel asks. “You could put anyone on their knees.”
++
Samira Mohan turns thirty, decides to buy herself lingerie about it, and takes some nudes. And then she accidentally texts one of them to Jack Abbot.

Summary
Jack Abbot is two beers and a bourbon into the evening, pleasantly warm but not actually drunk. He thinks if he was drunk, he’d write this whole conversation off as an elaborate hallucination. Chucking a handful of mixed nuts into his mouth, he’s still not entirely sold on it not being some sex-deprived, testosterone-fueled fantasy his mind has cooked up after a full dose of trazodone.
Apparently, Samira Mohan is a virgin.
++
Samira doesn't want to finish out her residency still a virgin. She asks Jack Abbot to help. There are to be no feelings involved.

“—and I know that there’s Becca and Tanner and Millie to consider, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to move in? Together? With me?”
Mel blinks. He certainly doesn’t look like he’s having a stroke.
“Frank, why would we move in together?”
“I thought it might be nice,” he shrugs here, acting nonchalant even though Mel can see the tension in his jaw. “To take that next step in our relationship.”
“Frank, what are you talking about? We’re not in a relationship?”
At this, Frank’s frown deepens before widening into a frustrated half smile. “Uh, yes we are? We’ve been dating for nine months?”
What.
Or, Frank thinks Mel doesn’t do physical touch.

Summary
The last time Dennis had a conversation with Robby before the day they tumbled down a bridge together was a little over a year ago. It was minutes before dawn. The hallway light was just bright enough to illuminate the horror in the older man’s eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said to Dennis, choking on the words and rubbing a palm over his eyes. His chest was heaving with breaths as if he'd just witnessed the end of the world instead of holding Dennis naked in his arms.

Summary
The stranger from the stairwell stops beside a bank of linen cabinets and folds his arms loosely across his chest.
No, not a stairwell stranger, Dennis reminds himself. His attending.
Dennis steels himself, and tells himself no matter what, he won’t roll over. He can do this. His future is at stake.
He opens his mouth. “Dr. Robby—”
“You are a fourth-year medical student on rotation in my department,” Dr. Robby cuts off, “and what happened in the stairwell this morning does not change that.”
Dennis swallows.Dennis Whitaker didn't need fate to tell him he was meant to be a doctor. He just really wasn't expecting his new attending on his very last rotation of medical school to say the words inked around his bicep.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Abbot asked. He nodded for her to continue walking
“A physician walking into a hospital just before shift change,” She watched as a grin spread across his face. “It’s a riddle no one has been able to crack.”
“You’re finally working nights?”
“I switched with Ellis,” She said. “So, you’re stuck with me for the next three days.” Her steps faltered. “Finally?”
“Are you serious? I’ve been trying to poach you from day shift since PittFest.”
“Really?”
“Really.” His response was almost instant. “You were incredible. The IO borehole, the pigtail catheter; I’m going to be talking about that for the rest of my life. Of course I want you for night shift.”
