Summary
Frank Langdon was hiding something. Mel had been working with him for three months now, and she'd noticed it; she knew others did too, and she'd heard Santos ask why Langdon was always checking his phone between cases. The others just brushed it off, used to his behaviour, it's just Langdon.
What no one at The Pitt knew was that Frank had been a father since he was seventeen. While everyone else was figuring out college applications and dorm rooms, he was learning how to warm bottles at 3 a.m., how to study with a baby monitor beside his textbooks.
He can't keep this secret for long, though. Maybe he'll gain a family for himself and his daughter from this, and Mel will gain some more appreciation for the senior resident and maybe some other feelings.
(Langdon was never a drug addict and never married Abby AU)

Summary
Rick didn't like when people got secretive. Especially when they started getting secretive about what they were doing and where they were going. Maybe it's whatever remained of a cop in him, but upfront honesty got you farther than saying nothing at all.
Daryl was a repeat offender.
If you watched him closely, you could almost see him itching to get out of whatever base they were holed up in and back into the closest wooded area he could find. He was like a dog on too short of a chain, pacing circles in the front lawn until he was let free to roam.
The problem wasn't him not coming back. Somehow, no matter how long he disappeared, he always managed to be back before anyone had time to really notice he was gone. No, the problem was that Rick couldn't stand not knowing what he was up to. He trusted Daryl, more than he trusted anyone else in camp, but he'd trust him a hell of a lot more if he would stop sneaking off without saying anything.
So, he caught him one afternoon as he was slinging his crossbow over his shoulder and heading for the door of the cabin they were staying in.Bookmarked by Howling_Raven8

Summary
"You know how I feel about your situation with Amy, anyway."
Dennis got a kind of satisfaction from hearing that. He wanted, so so badly, for someone to tell him to stop. For someone to make him realize that he was working himself into the same grave he saw so many queer people back home work themselves to. Those people who he swore he'd never be like and the norms he swore he'd never accept. Here he was, 800 miles from home and looking for pieces of it everywhere.
All Robby had to say was stop, and he would. Because he could see the difference between what he did with Robby and Jane and what he did with Amy and Theo. Robby never asked for more than what he could give. He never asked for anything, really, aside from the initial question. Everything else was Dennis wanting to be there.

Or, Dennis helps Robby raise Jane Doe while grappling with his crush, and Robby accepts his own.Bookmarked by Howling_Raven8
