“Tell me boy,” Wei Ying starts up with the ghost of a smile. He brings a hand out, and lifts up his veil. “How old do you think I am?”
Jin Ling squints, and he looks closely at Wei Ying’s face now that it has been revealed. Wei Ying is smiling at him, but there is not one single crease, crow’s feet, or imperfection found. His beauty is accentuated with ruby-red lipstick and rose-pink blush. Unbelievably so, his skin looks smooth like that of porcelain doll’s. It all makes his face appear so youthful—almost like a young maiden’s.
It is not wrong to say that ‘Mo Xuanyu’ is… an undeniably flawless woman.
Yet when he speaks, the voice does not match up. It’s rich in tone, far too deep for a young, delicate woman. And that’s what confuses Jin Ling the most… he can’t wrap his head around it, no. Not when they’re standing right before him, smiling so sweetly, a picturesque image of everything the frivolous rumors described.
Jin Ling swallows uneasily, like he’s taking a hard pill. “Y-Young. Twenty, like a young woman...” he finally murmurs, reluctant to admit it.
Or: Everyone thinks that Mo Xuanyu (Wei Ying), is Hanguang-Jun’s insanely young wife.
