It wasn’t like Edelgard to panic, she prided herself on being calm and collected no matter how grim the situation may be, but her entire body was paralyzed and she couldn’t conjure up any Reason nor could she grab her dagger, there was no plan that she could come up with that would get her out of this place. She felt just like she was back when she was a child in the hands of those cruel people.
She never wanted to feel like that ever again.
Moments, possibly even days, passed while she laid in repeated thoughts when a sudden voice spoke, jarring her into attention. A strong and firm voice spoke all around her, the vibrations shaking the very bones in her body and causing everything to become disoriented as she tried to figure out what was happening.
In nothing but the warm, confined darkness, she wrestled with the paralysis that prevented her from moving and speaking.
