“…Can I do something?” Atsushi asks.
Dazai presses his lips together. He runs his hand over his eyes and pushes down on the soft skin, and then his throat tightens. He lets go of the sink and turns around.
“Um.“ Atsushi shifts his weight. “I made some toast?”
or: After an ugly suicide attempt, Ango and Taneda force Dazai into therapy. Atsushi makes him toast. Neither are things Dazai enjoys very much, but one is better than the other.
