Summary
Dennis learns a few things during this process.
#1. This man’s name is Cole Grant.
#2. He is quite chipper, for a guy who just fell through his own window and all.
#3. He is incredibly embarrassed that Robby of all people is treating him.
#4. All his wounds are minor, bad enough to need debridement and sutures but not severe enough to be wholly concerned. In fact, miraculously, the only major injuries he’s really walking away with are a few broken ribs.
#5. They definitely know each other.
And, most unfortunate of all.
#6. Dennis is doomed.
“Didn’t think I’d ever have to see your ugly mug again,” Robby says, thumbing a scrape on Cole's face gingerly enough that it is definitely not professional. Trinity takes a sharp breath behind him, the kind that comes when someone’s trying not to laugh at their own boss.

A patient blows through the ER on a particularly slow shift with apparent ties to Robby. They flirt, a whole lot, Dennis tries not to go insane. (And also accidentally comes out to his boss.)

Summary
Dennis was left alone in the bar. Surrounded by drunken patrons. Being stared down by his two superiors after just being compared to a fucking dog.
There was no reason on God's green earth that that should make him feel the way that it did. It wasn’t Trinity's words per se, but the fact that Robby and Abbot were there to witness it. They now had the image of a little dog version of Dennis permanently embedded in their mind's eye.
A Hucklepuppy, wagging his tail, jumping the moment they commanded.
or
Dennis is dragged to a night out and ends up being treated like the good little dog he is.
