Ilya began to, quite reasonably in his opinion, choke on his own spit.
“There’s more where that came from,” Rose said simply, grinning at walking away.
Mouth wide, eyes popping from his head, Ilya scanned the crowd for his husband. When he spotted him, he saw Shane having a conversation with his dad, his face completely blank even as his eyes flickered to Ilya for just a millisecond.
“Roz! My man, how are you?” Cliff Marleau asked as he walked over to Ilya, beaming.
“I am…I am going to die, I think,” he answered hollowly, wondering what ‘more’ meant.___

“So that food poisoning you had last month.” Ilya considered.

“That means we can add Al’s Sushi back into our rotation! Their spicy Salmon roll is so fucking good.” Ilya asked, his mouth practically watering.
“Ahh, probably not any time soon, and I'd really love to not talk about raw fish right this second if that’s okay.” Shane’s eyes drifted down to his abdomen, a flash of queasiness crossing his face.
Ilya let his hands fall to Shane’s belly, spreading them wide across the warm skin. “A baby.” He murmured and Shane sighed into him. “God I love you so much.”

Summary
“Storytime!” Ilya says in a sing-songy voice. There’s clapping and suggestive cat-calls, and Shane can already feel his cheeks heating up. Ilya looks at him expectantly, holding out his hand, and any optimism Shand had of getting out of this dies in the brightness of Ilya’s grin.
Shane feels his body standing before he can think to stop it, helpless to do anything but answer the call of Ilya’s outstretched hand. The applause gets louder, and his blush deepens, but they had said they’d do this together, and everything just feels innately less terrible standing next to Ilya.
A fact he’ll have to keep reminding himself of when this inevitably goes south.
“What’s the story today, you two?” Evan Dykstra asks, putting his headphones around his neck, as Shane and Ilya take their spot at the front of the plane.
“We thought we would go back a bit,” Ilya says. “To the time we did an ad campaign together.”
