Summary
Just before Akaza can land a fatal blow on the injured and bloodied flame hashira, a warrior with a blue oni mask intervenes, saving Rengoku's life. As this warrior continues to fight, their subordinates scoop up Rengoku and his junior slayers, before helping the kakushi retreat to headquarters with a few wounded citizens in tow. Everyone is startled by these concealed people because their identities are completely concealed by their uniforms. What's even more suspicious is that they use umbrellas when they're forced to stand in the sun for too long. The hashira are slightly put at ease when Oyakata-sama assigns Rengoku to figure out the warrior's true intentions due to the warrior having self-proclaimed ties to his father and wielding a crimson nichirin sword in battle. Rengoku went after the warrior, earnest to learn everything about them.
Unfortunately, he'll have to work for it.
