It appeared in a dream - a vision of endless fields, massive trees, creatures of unknowable origin, and forests without end. It was a hunter’s paradise, and there in that vision of the Hunting Grounds, Rodahn the Dragonborn, was approached by a being that scarcely made itself known. Hircine, the Lord of the Hunt, needed a champion for what is to come. It is in this revelation that the dragonborn realized that there was more that lies in store for him and all of Tamriel beyond the challenges brought about by a Vampire Lord and the World Eater himself.

Summary
The Ashen one has battled the cycle of fire again, and again, and again. With each attempt, she has hoped to change the events that would inevitably bring an end to the world. Having grown tired of the endless attempt to change the fate of the world, the Ashen one sought out the The Painter, Aria, in the burning church where her battle with Sister Friede and Father Ariandel took place and, to her surprise, knows that she has repeated this hopeless cycle many times and offers her a way out through her painting. The Painter tells the Ashen One that she knows of a place that would need her the most, where she can fulfill her immortal life's longing, which is saving a world headed to ruin. She brings her to Thedas, during its darkest hour, in the Age of Dragons.

Summary
The huntress was the finest the Fifth Fleet has to offer. She is the Sapphire Star, the guiding light for all hunters and a living legend in all of the New World. She was on a mission to dispatch of some troublesome elder dragons when the mission becomes more dangerous than what she seems. After a fearsome battle and brushes with death, she emerges victorious but is grievously injured. Suddenly with nothing to do while she waits for her wounds to recover, she explores the recently cleared out Elder's Recess which would then lead to a series of events that will change her life, and the life of others in another world, forever.

Rin has decided that maybe the poppy field isn’t the afterlife, but her own personal hell. There is nothing to do, no one to talk to, and the sun stubbornly refuses to set, denying her even the slightest form of entertainment in watching the sky darken. The endless, rippling wave of poppies is beginning to feel patronising, and she briefly considers trying to make opium from them without any tools or equipment, just to have something to do.
She is convinced she has finally lost her mind the next time she sees someone land in the field of crimson flowers.
