When Tengen Uzui realizes that the demon in the Entertainment District is no ordinary threat, he calls for reinforcements.
Master Ubuyashiki wastes no time and sends two Hashiras: Giyuu Tomioka and Obanai Iguro.
While Tanjiro and company try to figure out what’s going on with these two Hashiras and their strange tension, no one understood what was happening except, of course, Uzui himself (who already knew everything).

Giyuu likes the morning.
Not because he was a morning person. If Sabito let him, Giyuu would probably spend an entire day in bed. Bed was relaxing, comforting. His bed blocked him from the multitude of tasks a half-baked Water Pillar like him was expected to do. Giyuu was an absolute disaster in the morning. It was probably a good thing that Giyuu hid in the Water Pillar Estate, for if anyone saw him, they would be left to wonder how such a dysfunctional person could rise the ranks and somehow stand as an equal beside the other Water Pillar.
But that is beside the point.
The point is, Giyuu liked mornings. He only liked them differently than Sabito did.

“Where am I?” Giyū manages, his voice barely louder than a whisper.
“I brought you to a wisteria house,” Sabito replies. “I mean, you’re wearing the uniform of the Demon Slaying Corps, so I figured it’d be okay.”
Giyū blinks at Sabito slowly. He’d been expecting an answer more along the lines of “the afterlife” or “purgatory.”
“Anyway, I’m Sabito,” Sabito continues, and Giyū feels more and more lost with every word. “Although you probably know me as the Water Pillar.”
(Or: A convenient demon blood technique sends Giyū to a timeline where he's dead and Sabito's alive.)

Giyuu finds himself conflicted in this very moment, wondering what in the timeline is at stake should he strike, because the annals of history are so easily altered that Sabito is standing next to him today (his own sword unsheathed and one of his hands tugging at Giyuu’s arms so hard his fingernails are digging divots into his skin.)
He worries at his bottom lip, and registers the movement of the Lower Moon, who rudely has not waited for him to finish his rumination and was unleashing a demon blood art, whose exact skillset he does not remember but reacts to on instinct.
Giyuu is struck by immense Deja Vu as he decapitates the demon once more.Tomioka Giyuu has no intention of becoming the Water Hashira again in this bright new world where Sabito is alive.
Sabito takes in a deep breath. “WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT?!?!”
But really, old habits don't seem to die (even when he already did).
And why does the Upper Third remember his name in a world years before Giyuu('s reckless ward Tanjiro) ever gives it to him?Series

There’s Xie Lian’s kind, exasperated smile at the admittance he’d forced out of his throat, and Feng Xin’s annoyed you should’ve just said so!
As if it were that easy! As if any of that were easy. As if Feng Xin had known how badly Mu Qing had longed, even for just for a friend. The earnestness with which he’d said as much had knocked Mu Qing breathless, momentarily; how can he be so stupid and so sincere at once? He doesn’t understand, and never has, likely never will, with that stupid thick-headed skull of his; but the certainty of: we could’ve been friends!
And knowing Feng Xin: if you hadn’t had your head stuck up your ass about it, we could’ve been friends! and Mu Qing could choke with the incredulity of it. How is Feng Xin simultaneously the most honest and the most thickheaded person he’s ever met?
Post-battle at Mount Tonglu, Mu Qing hasn’t outgrown the need to personally crush Feng Xin himself. Feng Xin decides now is the time to try and be nicer to Mu Qing (with unsuccessful results).

For the first time, Till feels waves of terror shake through their profound silence.
