Summary
Grace clings to the zenonite ball as tightly as he can, trying to trick his mind into believing that the smooth, warm surface was what it was after. That this hug shared between two species unable to coexist in the same environment is enough to satisfy his human instincts.
His skin prickles. The tears keep falling. It isn’t enough. And it will stay that way for as long as he is away from Earth.
A shudder runs through the man at this bleak thought, the ever-expanding pit in his chest feeling as though it’s swallowing up his entire being.
As if he heard the emotional casam split further, Rocky’s warbles take on a mournful croon. “Grace, tell Rocky what wrong. Please?”
Grace presses his tear-stained cheek against the warm surface, sighing miserably.
“I’m touch starved.”
Or... Grace's years of isolation from humans result in severe touch starvation. Rocky takes one look at this problem and says, "Hold my minerals."

Summary
The curse doesn't take hold anywhere but his own Hyrule and, upon learning this, things had changed. Slowly, but they did. And, since then? It could, quite possibly, be said that he's been slacking a little bit about it. Just a hair.
Still, how was he supposed to expect this to happen just from bleeding a bit on some glass?
Hyrule stares and regrets his choices.
[or: Hyrule blood-curses a very pathetic Shadow back to life. More at nine]
[or: Or: Day one of Whumptober! and I'm posting for two of Day 3's prompts: Isolation and Candlelight]

Summary
“I am not leaving him in there alone,” he continues, starting to loosen the clasp over his shoulder keeping his scarf in place. “He needs us-”
Just then, there’s an audible disturbance in the water. Warriors whips his head around in time to catch a splotch of dazzling pink amidst a cloud of bubbles in the otherwise dark lake, and then a lizalfos genuinely comes flying out of the water. He stares dumbly as it crashes into the deck between him and Twilight, screeching and squirming in pain and fury, with brutal looking claw marks around its face and throat. What the fuck?
When a portal drops the Chain in the middle of a huge lizalfos camp, sprawling halfway across an unknown lake, everyone expects the worst when Legend ends up getting dragged under. They quickly find out just how well he can hold is own in the water, though, and add a new fact to their ever-growing list of Legend's magical abilities.
Or, the Links learn about the mermaid suit, and they're more interested in marveling at the unique transformation than judging Legend for it, much to his surprise. Legend tosses a lizalfos, Warriors makes a fool of himself, and everyone has a good time.

Summary
Legend had plenty of secrets.
Some were harmless, some were embarrassing, some were of a life-or-death kind of importance. The curse ? Embarrassing, for sure. Harmless as long as he had it under control.
And he wouldn't lose control, right ? So there was no point in telling this one secret.
Unless a cave exploration changed his plans...
