Summary
Originally a standalone fic, the first installment has now spawned a trilogy because I've lost control of my life! Part 1 is a season 4 era slow burn; parts 2 and 3 explore AU versions of s5 and s6, respectively, where spuffy are in an established relationship throughout.
Parts 2 and 3 are planned/mostly written! Other fics in this universe, including missing scenes, bonus content, and possibly an AU s7 (but don't hold me to it) may be to come.

What an absolutely beautiful series this is. I think even if you don't love Spuffy, this might convert you. The relationships between not just Buffy and Spike but ALL of the Scoobies are so beautifully developed. This AU may not be the most drastic, but it is captivating in it's brilliance.

Summary
Mild-mannered junior reporter (and relatively recent superhero) Clark Kent gets his first big job all to himself. When the trail leads him to Gotham and the turf of his ally, and idol, Batman, Clark gets injured in the crossfire, unable to reveal his true identity. He's forced to recuperate at the mansion of Batman's apparent ally, infamous playboy Brucie Wayne. Bruce's kids seem determined to keep Clark in close proximity, thwarting his attempts to either return to his super persona or avoid Wayne's ridiculous flirting. But there's more to the case, and Wayne, than meets the eye.
Batman doesn't rescue pretty reporters, that's Superman's schtick, but when a firefight forces Clark Kent of the Daily Planet to recuperate at Wayne Manor, Bruce will just have to manage. Juggling fatherhood and an overbearing public persona is bad enough, but fighting the investigative power of a journalist in his own home could bring down not only his secret identity, but his sons'. He's determined not to give in to the draw of big blue eyes, or, more embarrassingly, to his boys' meddling. And worst of all, no one can find Superman.

This fic took me from "Superbat is cute idea" to believing in it body and soul. This fic both had me laughing and reading Alfred lines aloud to others and putting a hand to my heart over this batfamily. Highly recommend, even if you don't read the genre.

For the first time, Bruce looked genuinely surprised. "Those contracts were terminated."
"When? Before or after Luthor's crimes became public?"

Bruce was silent.

When threats grow too big for one city, Batman reluctantly teams up with Superman. Saving Gotham wasn't hard.
