Drank, stressed himself out, put his life and health on the line, and the person taking the brunt of it was her. She didn’t ask for that, and he put her through it anyway, even if it was unknowingly.

Of course, it's Ratio and Aventurine; they are HORRIBLE at communication. Feelings get hurt, but there will be a happy ending :)
I want to preface that I took a more animalistic, primal approach to Ratio's rut. It's not just "ooo me want omega, me wanna mate", what Ratio experiences is more emotional and frustrating (of course, along with wanting to rail aventurine, no honkai star if u know what I mean). Also, in my little omegaverse, when an omega is exposed to an alpha's rut scent for prolonged periods of time, they experience an almost aphrodisiac/dizzying effect that makes them calm and pliant.
