He snags the closest thing he can reach, a dirty converse sneaker, and lobs it vaguely in the direction of her shins, trying and failing not to laugh with her. "Fuck off. Lent doesn't start until tomorrow."
Or: In which Andy is a troll, Nicky is gay (but not for Lent), Joe is confused but crushing hard nonetheless, and it's going to be a long six weeks for everybody involved.

The poor beast will relax faster if Yusuf remains still, posture open, as though he's anything but amused to be stalked like this by a pup (a massive, hulking werewolf pup, but a pup all the same) whom he could easily restrain with a twitch of his fingers. “It’s a beautiful night, isn’t it?”
