Summary
Erik knew one thing about the story for sure; even if the Capitol created him, he was no one’s property.
Erik Lehnsherr’s last reaping was supposed to pass him by easily - as a mutant orphan protecting his kind in the home, his concerns are mostly about finding a job in the mutantphobic district, keeping the kids safe when he moves out and being charged as an adult for regularly hunting outside of the dome.
Everything changes, however, when Charles Xavier, the son of a victor who killed himself, volunteers to save his sister - and then Erik himself gets reaped.
Trapped in the games that represent everything he hates when his very survival depends on him pretending to tolerate them, Erik is starting to feel more and more like he’s part of something bigger than himself and something he can’t control. And it isn’t engineered only by the Capitol - but by Charles Xavier himself.

Summary
When Charles Xavier moves to London and buys a house with his boyfriend Warren, he thinks his life is finally coming together in a way that everyone, including himself, has always expected. Erik Lehnsherr, on the other hand, is struggling to keep his life together after his recent divorce, now having to raise his three-year-old by himself. Neither is prepared to meet at work or, in fact, ever again: they have met before, now nearly ten years ago, when they conducted a passionate love affair that was over before it even began. Yet their attraction is still undeniable, and as Erik asks Charles out for a drink, Charles somehow forgets to mention that he's already seeing someone.

It's already too late when Charles realizes that he's grown too attached to the man.

Fearing institutionalization or experimentation, he ran, resorting to petty crime and street living. Now at 31, he’s cleaned up his act and finally gotten his life halfway together. Or so he thought until he finds a silent, moody eleven-year-old waiting for him on his doorstep.
Charles Xavier is one of the top psychologists in the nation. He's never told anyone that a big part of his success is that he can literally hear what his patients are thinking, making it much easier to sort through their troubles. One day, he finds himself inextricably drawn to the distress of a man and his new found son, and he feels compelled to help. It gets more complicated when the boy show signs of having powers of his own.

The worst part is, he isn't just mucking stables or cleaning plates–-he's tasked with tending to the whiny, disabled son named Charles, who might just drive Erik into absolute madness.
Or, the World War II fic in which Erik and Charles experience a changing world and a lot of teen angst.
