    Daeron Targaryen was cut off from the royal family two years ago. There was to be no contact, no money, no mention in the holiday broadcast.
    His family didn't seem to read the same legal notice he'd been forced to sign.
    Aerion keeps wiring money that freezes his bank account. Aegon tracked him down to the coffee shop he works at now. And his married cousin, Valarr, keeps showing up after dark at his Flea Bottom apartment.
    Daeron would like everyone to stop. He would especially like to mean it.
    His coworker, Dunk, who is usually incredibly patient about everything, is tired of cleaning up the chaos they leave in Daeron's life. He's going to do something about it, and no, that's not because he's in love with Daeron or anything like that.

    The story goes something like this… when God first created the Andals, they were monstrous beings with four legs and arms, who, although they loved each part of them fiercely, were unable to survive on their own without the help of the Gods. So they had separated them into two beings, and as they grew and thrived, they noticed that they would spend their lives searching for that other half. Sometimes they were able to find it, and their lives seemed complete and full of joy and love… most of the time they were unable to, and their lives were spent in the search for the other half of their own being.

    It was why, when the Gods arrived in Westeros with the first Andals, they gave them a gift for this new and immense space. A blessing so they could find their other half, the one being in the whole continent that could complete what was inside of them… their soulmate.

    Since God had seven faces, seven different blessings existed.

    Before he was Dunk the lunk, thick as a castle wall, he was a dragon with no name. Magic turned that dragon into human and Dunk was left to figure out the rest on his own.

    Aerion had been elated when dragons had been found again. While he did not bond with the two that had been brought back, he knew for a fact that there was one more out there that was his. One with brass scales and blue eyes.

    When Aerion decided on the Trial of Seven, his pride led him to believe that he could cripple the brute Alpha hedge knight or slit his throat after rendering him a beating of a lifetime. Despite his second nature, Aerion was a dragon after all, a princeling at that, and not some lowly scum like the piss-poor tall bastard. So, it wasn’t a difficult decision to make, even though if he were to forfeit and yield, as an Omega, he’d be agreeing to give himself over to the giant flea bag of Flea Bottom and become Duncan’s Omega.

    Or, Aerion Targaryen could beat Ser Duncan the Tall, but he couldn’t beat Dunk from Flea Bottom.
