Summary
Tony’d had migraines since he was teenager. No one knew why, because no one ever really knew why with migraines. He had a few obvious triggers––red wine, dehydration, and stress. Stress was by far the worst, since it meant they tended to flare up when he could least afford to take time off. He’d tried a lot of different medications over the years, and none of them really worked, but Imitrex at least took the edge off.
So when Tony blinked at the hologram in front of him and realized that it wasn’t going wonky because something was wrong with it but because something was wrong with his vision, he wasn’t too alarmed. Irritated, but not alarmed.

Feel-good stuff. One shots to follow up 'I told you I had issues'. Individual stories, but there is still some character development. Peter is a bit of a smart-ass with rough edges, a troubled home life, but a good heart of course. And Tony is really really bad at dealing with emotions, but Pepper has his back.

“You didn’t get my coffee,” his dad says, halfway through his burrito. He has been in a state of low, simmering irritation all evening, and apparently this is how long it took for him to find a reason to blame Peter for it.
“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”
“Do you have eyes?”
“Yes,” Peter says. “I have eyes.”
“So you could have checked if we needed coffee without me telling you every little thing, Jesus Christ.”

Summary
The first time James Rhodes meets Tony Stark, Tony is a scrawny teenager, running across the lawn at campus, yelling curses, using a tea towel to try and trap a roomba-like contraption that is zigzagging wildly through the grass, until he trips over his own feet and faceplants. People laugh but Rhodey takes pity, so when the thing zooms towards him he lifts one foot and traps the robot underneath it. It beeps once and the wheels stop whirring.
Instead of thanking him, the teenager scrambles forward on hands and knees, glares up at him and says “well thanks you probably broke it, dumbass.” -

Richard Parker comes knocking only a few weeks after the first pictures of Tony and Peter dillydallying around lower Manhattan go viral. Real fucking coincidence, right?
Actually, it is their social worker Emilia who relays the message. “Mr. Parker has expressed interest in reconnecting with his son.”
Expressed interest. “Isn’t that just freaking parent of the year,” Tony says. “I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. So glad to hear he found the time to work his son into his busy schedule of sitting around the house collecting benefits.”

But this ‘parenting Peter Parker’-thing, he had it figured out to a tee. It was mostly all about nodding or shaking your head at the right moments, and using turtle videos as a strange sort of reward system. And if anything backfired; letting Pepper take the fall.
But he had a nagging feeling that Pepper’s parents coming to town was going to seriously mess up his mojo.

Chewing on the nail of his thumb, his knee bobbing up and down. Drops his pen, and then drops his clipboard when he bends down to pick up the pen.
