Summary
Interception confirms that the B.S.A.A. have declared the Kijuju operation a decisive victory. Redfield and Alomar are being credited with the “elimination” of the single most prevalent global bioterror threat through "persistence and firepower", which is grossly inaccurate. The fault is in my own miscalculations. I am willing to bear responsibility for the collapse of my design.
A.k.a. Wesker survives RE5 following the demise of his test-clone and, upon examining the overwhelming evidence for his failure, proceeds to dismantle his own ideological framework in approximately 20 business days.

Summary
There was nothing particularly special about Michael Afton. People told stories about him, that his younger brother had a fatal accident and that Michael himself was somehow involved, but nothing was ever confirmed, and every version contradicted the last. Later, you would learn that this was deliberate on Michael’s part. He would let an idiot interrogator think they had earned his trust and, under strict instructions not to tell anyone, he’d spin a completely different story each time. It delighted him to hear how much it baffled people.
Pre-FNAF 2, at the very beginning. Follows the tale of Michael Afton and his new friend throughout the years, from high school to adulthood and then… elsewhere. Planned to be in three parts. Eventual romance is intended, and the rating may change.

SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF HALF-LIFE: ALYX
"Sure, they could engineer the many theories and calculations of quantum mechanics to snugly fit the events that had transpired over the course of 20 years, but they could never completely shut off their humanity. It was seated deep inside their brain, always watching, always vigilant. Now it was screaming at them, telling them that this, whatever this was.. It wasn’t right. None of it. "

Summary
Filed away in an infrequently opened yet impeccably maintained drawer is a printed copy of a Wikipedia article inside a blue folder. Its corners are softened from being handled and folded, and the black‑and‑white ink is just beginning to fade. Several phrases are underlined in dark blue pen. In the margins are several notes and question marks in careful handwriting in the form of a tight, slanted cursive that presses just light enough into the paper to not leave an imprint on the sheet beneath, save for a sentence near the middle scored over so many times that the letters are almost smudged into a single dark bar.
Pre-Game. Featuring one of the first versions of the Wikipedia article dedicated to Leila Roshan. It has been printed out and analysed meticulously, likely for non-sentimental purposes.

Summary
"She would write this type of song after she had fallen in love, and the way Lei fell in love could be described very literally, like being violently hurled down a spiral staircase, or falling off a large, spiny tree whose branches scratched and tore at her skin on the way down. And she enjoyed it. She would try to resist it by clenching at the surface with her teeth and nails, simply because it was pointless to fight it, and she would laugh ecstatically as she fell."
Chapter Two. Widow Creek has opted to write a "love song" for their challenge. Seven Lawless hears about this, and is immediately suspicious. The song must be about someone in particular. It's certainly not about him.

His remembrance was a punch in the gut, or the awful crackling of a tree hit by lightning, unlike the unfolding of a dancer who glazed through the air with the grace and expertise he couldn’t even begin to understand.

Summary
Remember when I told you I wanted to retire?”
“Mhm,” Michael hums in affirmation.
“I wanted to ask. If we… get through this shit with everything intact… Wanna do all that together?”
“Absolutely.”
You smudge his scars with the tip of your fingers, going outwards to smooth, somewhat worn skin. “I… wouldn’t mind growing old together.”
“Neither would I.” He smiles slightly, sounding distant. With his tense brows interrupting his otherwise peaceful expression, he looks like he is having the strangest dream.

Summary
"That's just the effect he always had on you; the kind that passes through your defences as gently as the foam of sea waves caress the farthest edges of the sand. His influence over you has never alarmed you, and frankly you allowed for it, because you are well aware that the disgust he misplaces in himself due to his family's reputation and how utterly wary he is of his capacity to hurt others makes him that much more careful not to betray the trust of those he cares about. Hence you've never hidden your positive reactions from him when he's around, even before you were together, because your trust in him helped him build trust in himself."

Two years post-game. Your final year at Hogwarts calls for early celebrations at the Three Broomsticks as you continue to struggle with your past. Only, you're slowly starting to learn that it is not enough for you to try and bury your memories, but to nurture them instead so one day they can become trees.

“I thought we’d promised not to lie to each other.”
“It’s true,” she assures him. “I just had a nightmare.”
He searches her face for a moment before looking away, silently chuckling to himself.
“What did I do now?”
She hesitates. “You died.”
Post-Book 2. Raphael and Michael's relationship has grown stronger than ever, but as with everything that's built from the ground up, you must also anticipate its collapse. It's never an easy process, but luckily, you don't always have to do it alone.

Summary
He turns off the phone and puts it aside on the coffee table before sitting upright, and he looks down at you. You raise an eyebrow at him curiously and put your hands behind your neck, mostly to support your head and partially because that’s the angle you needed for your left breast to peek out from under your gown.
“Everything okay?”
Michael hums in affirmation and sits back so he’s further away from you. “It’s Greg. I asked him to bring me something, but it’s not of utmost importance right now.” He leans towards you and grins darkly. “Where were we?”

You could only hope he hadn’t noticed your staring, but with someone like Michael you somewhat doubt that. Although you soon realised there was no need to worry, because when you look back up at his mask, you see that he was also regarding your… torso, if you read his eyes correctly. But you could be wrong; after all, you never knew with these masks. Only one way to find out.
You gingerly clear your throat, and sure enough, his gaze lifts slightly upwards to meet your eyes again.
