    What did Fugo do after leaving Bruno and his team? Play the piano in a shitty dive bar in Rome, of course.

    I open the door and am greeted by the smell of the cool and damp and stale cigarette-air and spilled beer and I pause. The piano music I’m hearing isn’t from one of the CDs in the changer behind the bar. This is live. Confirmed by the slender form of a man hunched over the baby grand’s keyboard in the dim spotlight, his back to me.

    “Found somebody?” I ask Joe as I sidle around the bar, stowing my wet umbrella next to a mop bucket. He slings a bar rag over his shoulder and scratches his balding head. He shrugs.

    “Maybe. See what you think of ‘im. Some kid, just wandered in off the street soaking wet, said he needed a job. Before I could say no he walked right up to the piano, sat down like he owned it and started to play.”

    Rhapsody in Blue. Gershwin himself couldn’t’ve done any better.

    * Warning that Fugo is his canon age. Narrator is the 17-year old sex worker who takes him in.

    Killing the one person she loved most in life left Mikasa Ackerman utterly destroyed, leaving her truly alone in the world. While the rest of the world rebuilds, she and the rest of the Scouts only begin to confront their mental barriers.

    War may be full of anguish, but peace is deceptively comforting, bringing forth only what was ignored as they fought for their lives. For Mikasa, it is attempting to understand what she thought was Eren's betrayal, and learning to heal once and for all. For Jean, it is forgetting the blood on his hands and searching for a new path in life. Perhaps they can help each other.
