Eren sucks in a deep breath between his teeth; a sign that he’s getting a little impatient. “You’re more than a vice-captain to me. You’re a comrade and a friend. If you’re feeling out of it, I need you to tell me. You don’t have to put on that brave face all the goddamn time.”
With that last bit, Eren avoids your gaze while you search for sincerity in his face. Why does it sound like he can see right through you?
