Summary
A pirate and an Interrogator of the Holy Inquisition walk into Footfall- Not really, but you do find Van Calox annoying enough when he shows up to question Tocara about the smuggling he's been doing. Arrogant, self-assured and more than a little annoying, the agent does nothing to help you foster kind feelings towards his organization. When he pulls you into an empty room for questioning - that only worsens the case. Or perhaps not.
“I reconsidered your suggestion.” The man starts slowly, victorious in his tone of voice, and makes a step forward, reaching the end of the bed. “I would very much like to see what your tongue can do. First and foremost – you will tell me what exactly Tocara is smuggling in and out of Footfall.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you scoff, defiant at this show of authority. “You have picked a wrong person, agent. Liege is not telling me more than what I absolutely need to know.”
“Liar. But I have my methods of getting the truth, one way or another.” He smirks and there’s undisguised cruelty in Van Calox’s eyes. One that makes a shiver run down your spine.

Hugo zatrzymał się nagle w cieniu jednej z bram do podwórza. Przekrzywił głowę, a jego oczy zaskrzyły tajemniczo. Oczy, te oczy jak dwa żarzące się węgle (nie, żeby Stefan w nie spoglądał) były od zawsze najwierniejszą formą ekspresji Hugona; klarowniejszą i bardziej skuteczną niż jakiekolwiek oszczędnie dawkowane słowa w jego wąskich ustach - teraz jednak ich wyraz pozostał dla Stefka nieodczytywalny. Za dużo whisky.
