Honestly, Wednesday’s not sure what’s more horrifying: that she’s somehow managed to develop tender feelings for not just one boy but two (which seems a great deal like two boys too many, although she’s certain that her disgustingly romantic parents would disagree) or that she’s falsely accused one of them of being a dangerous killer when the other actually is a dangerous killer.
She misses having simple problems to deal with, like jocks bullying her brother. She knows how to handle things like that.

Summary
Angband is indisputably awful, a place of darkness and torture where Morgoth and those who serve him tear captives apart, sometimes for information but more often than not just out of cruelty and malice.
But the Coliseum....well. Glorfindel thinks that in some ways perhaps Iârgardh is worse. Because it is where Morgoth’s captives tear each other apart, pitted against one another in vicious fights while Orcs and goblins and others of Morgoth’s ilk cheer and jeer in the stands.
He’d never thought, not once in all his terrible nightmares of what the future might hold, that he would be one of those doomed gladiators.
And yet here he is.

Kaveh feels a little guilty at seeing Cyno's shock, but if he’s been cursed to be a grumpy old man he may as well act like it—and it’s not like the demon hadn’t warranted it.
"Much better," he says, putting his cane back down to lean on it. "Now, you are?"
The demon clears its throat. "Cyno, the former general of Her Majesty’s army. These days, though, I’ve branched out to contracts with wizards." He laughs at his own joke. "Branching out, you know, like your cane?"
Kaveh’s eyelid twitches, before registering what Cyno actually said. "Are you telling me," he asks, outrage building in his chest like a storm, "that you made a contract with Alhaitham and he forced you to possess something this ugly?"
Cyno blinks. "Uh. Yes?"
Kaveh’s hand turns into a white-knuckled claw over his cane. "That ends now."
