Summary
“You must survive,” is the last thing that Sorel says to him.
There is a brief brush of their first two fingers—no longer than a second of contact—and then Sorel is gone, dashing away to help keep the ship from falling apart long enough for him to escape. Spock watches him go from inside of his escape pod for as long as he’s able, and then he’s jettisoned out of the VSS T’Kal. He catches only a glance of what appears to be a massive black entity, covered in coils and flat planes and alien technology. He is halfway to the nearest class M Federation planet’s surface when brilliant blue lines like electricity atomize the entire ship as though evaporating it, and the part of Spock’s mind that is linked to his husband winks out like a candle flame.
Spock presses a hand to his swollen abdomen, feels their daughter kick, and mourns with her.

Summary
There are a handful of things that Shane Hollander understands intrinsically about the world:
1) Inside is safe, and the only place that can sustain life.
2) Outside is an uninhabitable wasteland.
3a) Ilya Rozanov is a figment of his imagination, and,
3b) a very, very good lay.Ever since he hit the tail end of puberty, Shane has been indulging in sex with a man his subconscious mind invented named Ilya Rozanov. They meet every few months, fuck like animals, and Shane wakes up relaxed and looking forward to their next meeting. In his pursuit to become a Doctor of Magic, Shane has concocted a thesis which would explain how he's made up a man so perfectly attuned to his sexual desires in his own head- despite all evidence to the contrary, he believes that magic can be performed in dreams, and Ilya is the perfect evidence of that fact.
Too bad Ilya Rozanov and the Board of Doctors has other plans.
An AU in which Shane comes from a world where magic is prevalent and gives purpose to his otherwise boring life- until it doesn't.

A mind meld during an away mission gone wrong tips Spock's world upside down. Kirk ends up in charge of deciding on the decor for the Enterprise's holiday party. A mysterious unknown entity boards the ship and throws a wrench in everything. All in all, an ordinary day on the Enterprise.

An academy AU + Tarsus aftermath fic in which James T. Kirk ends up accidentally parentally bonded to an orphaned Vulcan child. When the father/daughter duo enroll in Star Fleet, hijinks ensue (mostly at the expense of Spock’s previously immaculate but quickly deteriorating self-control).
