“I don’t need a father figure!” Peter says, mid-rant to Ned the next day. He needed an excuse not to spend time with Tony all day, so he invited Ned and MJ out for coffee. He had spent the whole night tossing and turning, unable to stop thinking about what Tony said, how he said it, what that meant.
Ned coughs to try and cover his laugh, and Peter pouts at him.
“You have massive daddy issues, Peter,” MJ says with a nonchalant shrug. “I say that from a place of love as someone with similar mommy issues.”
“That doesn’t mean I should drag Mister Stark into my problems.”
“I still can’t believe he said that!” Ned gasps. “Say it again, word-for-word.”
“He said I hate kids, I would never be a parent, especially not to Peter.”

A hunting injury leads to a hospital stay for Sam courtesy of a bullet wound, and a gut-wrenching realization for Dean courtesy of the scars on Sam’s wrists. They’ve got to talk about this, except that Sam cries at hearing his nickname and Dean’s heart is in pieces in his chest, and neither of them are okay.
Dean wants them to get there so badly, if only he can just figure out how. If only he can just get Sam to look at him and talk to him.

Summary
It’s funny how Sam openly said that he was ready to die, multiple times, and Dean never bothered to ask, not even once... Why?
Nobody ever asked why Sam was so eager to go with Death. If they had, he would’ve pointed to Charlie’s burning pyre and a town covered in darkness as evidence to help them understand why he shouldn’t be alive.
The worst part is, Sam knows deep down his brother agrees with this, even if he won't ever say it out loud without the mark on his arm.

For Sam, a lot of harm. John believes something about his sons and he's determined to set all the blame at his youngest's feet, revealing painful secrets that Sam would've preferred to stay hidden, things he feared anyone finding out, things John feels are wrong.
Too bad for John that Mary and Dean don't feel the same way and are more than ready to back Sam.
NOT WINCEST in the SLIGHTEST, but John sure thinks so.
