Summary
After the fourth rejection on a TV Time reboot, Tenna decides to go back to his more humble roots in Hometown. Between chasing his former stardom and raising a fiery teenager, Tenna has left nothing up to chance. He has accounted for every possible surprise...except for the one where Spamton G. Spamton is Hometown's new postman. When his daughter Susie befriends Spamton's ward Noelle, it gives him a chance to mend bridges with his former partner. However, a decade changes people. Moving to Hometown was supposed to be a fresh start for Susie. After being treated as an outcast at her former school, all she wants for her new one is to fade into the background. Besides, a few kind faces won't change anything, and it's easier being alone. When the people in this town are nothing like she expects, Susie has to decide if she will let fear of rejection continue to control her life, or if some people are worth letting walls down for.

Summary
After some investigation, Sonic discovers that he has Hanahaki disease. There is a plant growing inside his lungs through his throat. It will kill him if he leaves it alone. His other options are to confess his feelings, get a surgery to remove the plant, or lose his feelings.
He can't confess his feelings. They would only burden Shadow, and Sonic doesn't want that to happen.
He can't get the surgery, either. It would erase all the memories and feelings he has for Shadow (and for any other platonic love that was mixed into the romantic love this plant grew from).
His only option, then, is to lose his feelings for Shadow. That, unfortunately, is easier said than done.

Stars shine brighter before their death. Yet Sonic was already considered the brightest star by many, his light always able to vanquish the dark. But this time it wouldn't be enough. The End was here yet he refused to give up, not when he had others counting on him. Consumed by darkness, corruption bit at the edge of his mind and he knew what he had to do. With the death of a star a new one may form, familiarity replaced by uncertainty. Sonic used to be a star, or so he's heard, so why does he find himself lost in the sky, unable to name a single star? He was no longer a bright shining star, but maybe someday he'd find himself among the stars of the sky once again
