Rose was months from freedom. After 10 years living a double life under a tyrant's thumb, all she had to do was outlast the contract that kept her trapped. She'd leave with nothing but her name, the only part of herself she'd managed to keep secret from the world, but she would be free. The only joy she'd been able to carve out for herself in those years was the rush of the fight, of screaming in unison with the masses, of momentum... It was the promise of freedom that kept her going. Wasn't it?

The Doctor was adrift. He'd been adrift for years, searching for something. Anything. He'd been everywhere trying to find it, and he knew it was out there. He just didn't know what IT was. He'd devoted himself to medicine, and then traveling, and then the stars, and while he loved them all, something was still missing.
When the two of them meet in a crowd, both of them are immediately struck with the thought, "There you are." But as they fall together faster than the speed of gravity, will they be able to hold on?

Summary
Since his regeneration, things have been off between the Doctor and Rose. She keeps trying to convince herself that he's the same person, but her grief for her lost Doctor insists that they aren't. He managed so many miracles that despite how his regeneration should have been one more, she is still waiting. She doesn’t deserve it— she killed him— but still. She waits.
The Doctor doesn’t know how to convince her that he’s the same person, when he isn’t sure that he is himself. He feels disconnected from his ninth self in a way he never has before, unsure where it leaves him, or his relationship with Rose.
When an adventure goes wrong, Rose is abducted by a dragon, who makes no secret he intends to keep her. She feels an immediate connection to him (once she figures out that he isn’t going to eat her, of course). Beneath his prickly hide, he's sweet and sad, and reminds her so much of the Time Lord she still loves, and can’t let go of. Their bond grows as they ease each other’s grief.
Rose is torn between the three of them, her love for the TARDIS, and her ever worsening grief, as the gulf between her and the Doctor widens. Will they regain their common ground? How is Bad Wolf working in the background?

THE BEST NINEROSE EVER
This is it. This is the one that consumed my entire life for two days. Don't read unless you are willing to stop existing for a while. Veeeeery smutty, very angsty, the best Nine, Rose and Jack dynamic ever. Cannot emphasise any of that enough. Amazing author, mind blowing writing. This is the one that made me listen to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol on repeat for two hours accidentally.

After a particularly harrowing adventure, Rose is left shaken by the memories it brings up. Especially when the Doctor decides that to protect her, he had to go after the aliens they'd just escaped from, on his own at all costs. What lengths will he go to, if it means keeping her safe? What will he return to find, after having left Rose alone to deal with her past in combination with his betrayal? As they fight to move forward, both of them have to confront their own desires and darkness and each other's, if they truly want to be each other's forever.
Honestly started this just as an excuse to write them having angry sex in the jumpseat but now I'm roughly nine-hundred pages in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Part One is a soft, canon-divergent romantic rewrite of Series 1 & 2 (Part Two and Three cover the rest). No Doomsday, no Torchwood, low angst. Just good communication, hurt/comfort, and the TARDIS out here makin’ dreams come true. Jack stays. Everybody lives.
Fix-its, missing scenes, and mild smut. Everyone’s soft. Everyone gets a hug. There are no misunderstandings and no drama.

"Great!" Percival said and jerked his head "Then let’s go."

Bruce wakes with a snort and a crick in his neck.
Wincing, he picks his twinging neck up slowly, blinking grit out of his eyes. The tv is still on, flickering in the otherwise dark room.
“Is it possible… that aliens are responsible for the tragic wreck of the Titanic?” a narrator is asking.
Tim is still dead weight across his legs. Bruce can feel a damp patch on his sweatpants where he’s drooled on him.
Bruce digs his phone out of his pocket, careful not to disturb him.
4:32am.
Fuck.
Tim was due to be woken up for a concussion check over three hours ago.
“Tim,” he murmurs, rough with sleep. “Wake up, bud.” He shakes him gently.
When he doesn’t stir, he shakes him again, harder, sighing softly - Tim always is dead to the world on the rare occasions he actually sleeps. “Tim,” he repeats, louder, a normal speaking volume.
He tugs on his shoulder, rolling him towards Bruce.
There’s no resistance.
Tim’s head lolls.
