"How did you get?" Ilya says, keeping his voice low. The dead weight of Shane's head means he's probably close to drifting off.
He moves his hand from between Shane's shoulder blades to trace the raised scar tissue on his shoulder.
Shane pulls back from his absentminded nuzzling. He frowns in confusion at the question, scrunching up his nose and those freckles that Ilya adores.
"Wha-? Oh, that," says Shane, eyes catching on the scar on his shoulder. "Hockey, of course."

“I get it, okay?” Shane pushes back, letting his enervation show this time. “I’m trying, but it’s hard. I guess I just need something that sticks. Something to hold me accountable. Consequences.”
“I can help, with consequences.” Ilya shrugs easily, his voice free from any inclination of teasing.
“What, you wanna punish me?” Shane smiles, raising his eyebrows and pulls Ilya’s hand from his thigh up to his mouth to kiss it. “Spank me every time I people please?”
Shane can’t help but to chuckle at himself.
“Would that help you?” Ilya’s voice is flat and serious.
