“About what I'd say if I ever met my past self. I know I said I wasn't sure, but I – I thought about it a lot, you know, when I was in the past. I – I often had the thought that maybe, if I figured out a way to go forward in time again, I could... make a stop by our past. You know.”
He swallowed the pork. “Change it.”

After two apocalypses, Hyrule is settling into a new norm. Its people, brave and defiant, have survived it all. But of them, very, very few remember the way it used to be.
Link isn't one of them. He doesn't want to go back. He loves Hyrule as it is now, broken cloud barrier and all. Besides, they've already learned their lesson. Time travel does not change the past, regardless of the strange dreams of the neo-champions. He doesn't even know enough to decide if it was a world he liked.
Then, he recalls.

Summary
Wei Wuxian made a promise once, before everything went wrong.

OR Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji live at 2 totally separate times and Wei Wuxian dies as the hated YLLZ before Lan Wangji is even born.

Lan Wangji closes his eyes, despair blooming. “No.”He registers, distantly, that one does not say 'no' to the Emperor in that tone. Unfortunately, his dignity is somewhere beneath the silk sheets and the honey-gold frame of the huanghuali bed, and his brain is full of static.
Lan Wangji sits up fully now, slow and stiff, only to find Wei Wuxian lounging at the foot of the bed in an informal robe, holding a teacup like it’s an award. There’s a flickering projection hovering above his hand: hazy, but unmistakable.
There he is. Lan Wangji. On the table. Disheveled. Glowing faintly with spiritual energy, hair loose, face as serene as ever except for his flushed ears. Yelling something about "devotion unspoken is cowardice" while trying to pull a jade ring off his finger.
Lan Wangji buries his face in his hands and considers suffocating himself on the spot.
