She pushed the door open. Luz steeled herself and stepped through. As soon as she saw the kitchen, though, she understood exactly why Amity hadn’t been able to explain what had happened.
Hunter was huddled underneath the kitchen table, knees pressed to his chest, inching himself farther into the crevice as Willow crouched beside him. Hunter was also sat on top of the counters and kicking his legs back and forth against the cupboard doors as a fountain of words gushed out from his mouth. Not to mention, Hunter was halfway into the fridge, munching on an apple. He was sitting on a barstool with his eyes glazed over. He was gesturing wildly with a steak knife as he shouted at Vee.
He was doing all of this, because somehow, against all logic, he was in five places at once. Because there were five separate Hunters in the kitchen. Because Luz had messed up the potion one two three four five different ways, and if she’d learned one thing from Eda, besides identity theft, it was that potions were precise, they were exact and they were specific and they never did the same thing once they were messed with.
“Oh my King,” she mumbled.

‘Little thing’ was a clear step up from ‘stupid worm’, and even if he jumped when Khonshu dropped a large hand onto his shoulder, it sparked some small amount of confidence in his decision.
“Right, then- I thought you might like some milk and honey on there too. Do you actually eat the offerings, or is it more of a sacrificial sort of thing?” He couldn’t turn, not with a hand on his shoulder and a beak next to his face, so he settled for studying the space he’d left on the table to decide what he could fill it with while he waited for the mummified bird behind him to answer.

It isn't that Bruce does not like Steve (quite the opposite). It's that Bruce very much can't have Steve, not the way he would like. After all, Steve is Captain America, and Captain America is a paragon of command and control.
In other words, not submissive.
(Or how Bruce is sometimes the least observant scientist in the world, Steve is shyly in love and tells this to Bruce with food, and the team mostly just wants to make sure their supply of baked goods doesn't dry up.)

Smudged onto the leather, a tangled white hair lay in the sludge that used to be Belos.
At that Hunter seemed to come back to himself, his face cracked into a million pieces, and he screamed.

Featuring Hunter being a bit of a violent freak (love him though), Darius being stressed out of his mind, Belos being awful, Eda being the worst wingman ever, and the Owl House kids trying their best to befriend a child solider.
