The sun was setting, and Leo was back. That was all he really cared about. Mikeys hands were burned and Donnie had some gnarly cuts in his shell but they were alive and moving and breathing and even Leo was still laughing even though he knew they should be sitting still, should be mending wounds, Leo should be laying down but it was okay because now he was there and he would take care of them like he always did and everything... everything would be fine again...

Raph isn't doing well after the invasion but he’s working on it. Sort of... Oh and there's some weird yokai appearing all over the city.

He felt a deep sense of melancholy as the cold took over his body. He kept walking towards his location but he couldn’t help but shiver along the way. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to use his only warm clothes as a makeshift joey pouch. The turtle on his plastron seemed warm at least. The slider’s heart just about melted when he heard a rumbling churr escape the toddler.

"It comes with being a teenager." Raph tried to tell himself... but he knew it didn't. Donnie and Leo never acted like this. This... this wasn't normal.
"If you continue to baby him, he will never learn to be independent. Or worse... Just saying. You might end up... ya know. Chasing him away."
Oh, how Raph wished he had listened to Donnie.

They used to be close. The closest. Until Raph's smothering became... too much. And they drifted apart.
Mikey never realized just how much it hurt that he and Raph drifted away, until he ends up with an unconcious Raphael, trapped in a collapsing building, and unable to reach his brothers.

Raph was used to being the biggest.
He had always been larger than his siblings, growing at a much faster rate than they did. He was also almost the same height as Splinter, who was the biggest real life person he knew (Lou Jitsu was probably waaaayyy taller than his rat father).
He had grown up in his home being the big brother, the brother who was the biggest, so now, lost and all alone in the sewer, Raph felt something he had never felt before.
Small.---or---
Raph and Mikey venture into the sewers alone and end up getting separated. Raph finds he has a bit of an extreme reaction to finding himself all alone.

Raph does his best not to shrink in on himself.
“Sorry,” he mumbles, wrapping his arms around his knees and squeezing tight. He’s caused a problem. He didn’t want to cause a problem. He just… he just felt sad. He just wanted them to wish him happy birthday.
