The Imagination is a tempestuous thing. Every once in a while, it requires focusing, just as any great and terrible power does. The twins do this with one great Story, one that takes all of the Imagination, including themselves. Every few months, no exceptions. That is, until the others overhear them planning for it and take it upon themselves to offer their opinions, especially on who exactly is responsible for what. Creativity is Creativity, after all. There is no good, there is no bad. The others scoff: of course there is! How could it be any other way?
So, the twins make them an offer: join the Story. See for themselves. It's not as simple as they might think.

Brad Tudabone was a charming but clever guy.
Brad scored his dream job as a detective, but even though cops have worked with the Ninja in the past, many of them aren't too fond of the colored celebrities. It's a well-known fact in the police world: the ninja meant bad news.

This year doesn't look to be one of those years where he does better than others, though, if being surrounded by screaming children and off-key grainy speakers belting Mariah Carey for the past Too Fucking Long is any indication. He ducks his head to avoid yet another flying something-or-other as he huddles in on himself, making sure his cane doesn't get knocked over for the fourth time in as many minutes.

It’s just gone sunset and everyone’s split up after dinner to wind down for the evening. Dinner hadn’t been anything spectacularly good or bad, not really. No one got into a fight, no one was celebrating anything, it was the perfect small-talk-and-eat meal.
He tries not to feel too disappointed and then not to hate himself for feeling disappointment.
