They are quite rare and require a lot of effort to be summoned from another world. Most Guardians are Otherworlders, taken from their own world to provide protection for their dedicated masters. Their loyalty is the most important rule amongst Guardians, even if their masters treat them as nothing but weapons. Giving Guardians a name will create a contract between them and their masters, giving them shared skills and connecting their souls. If this contract breaks, the Guardian is banished from the world and will cease to exist.
You are one of them. However, being a guardian of Rimuru Tempest isn't bad at all. He's just a cute, lovable slime with a cute, lovable personality. Protecting him should be easy.
