Summary
Yuji‘s gotten used to leaving any lesson taught by Sukuna in rough shape. He can recognize that it‘s become routine at this point; he enters the classroom tense and leaves it worn down and tired, lies in bed at night and stews in the certainty it‘ll happen again.
At least there‘s comfort in the familiarity a routine offers, even if it‘s terrible. Unfortunate, then, that Sukuna has a vested interest in getting him discomforted.

One moment of hunger and suddenly the blue thing was talking at him. Insisting he used to be human. That he'd eaten something called a "Devil Fruit" and forgotten who he was. The stinky, clumsy, stupid things that fell off rooftops and didn't land on their feet. The soft-ones who needed tools to hunt and couldn't see in the dark and made sounds constantly like silence was something to fear.
Why would he ever have been one of those?
But his outrage got dismissed. The green-haired one just picked him up by the scruf like he was a kitten and suddenly Neko was stuck with pirates. Kidnapped really.
He'd tried to eat one fairy. And now his entire existence was ruined.

Sukuna is deeply irritated, and all he wants to do is escape and find out everything he can about this modern world. He swears to himself that as soon as he's out, the boy dies and his soul is subsumed. No matter how much the brat resembles him, or how much he reminds him of a certain dead someone he'd really rather forget.
In the meantime, though, he might as well keep the kid from getting himself killed...

TL;DR: Sukuna POV fic where our lovely little mass murderer discovers early on that Yuuji is definitely not your average human child, and his interest is piqued. He's still extremely evil, but I gave him a tragic backstory. Yada yada, child abuse, starvation, and a little bastard child produced from a concubine who is promptly murdered. Whoops!
