Summary
Sherlock's seemingly flippant return in the restaurant leaves John feeling angry and betrayed, something Mycroft Holmes cannot be having. Mycroft wants John to return to 221B, not only for his brother's happiness and stability but because he believes it's what John wants, too. Anthea hatches a plan to get Mary out of the country for a few weeks and Mycroft persuades John to stay at 221B to try to work things through with Sherlock. By the time Mary returns, will John still want to marry her, or will he realize he's about to make the biggest mistake of his life?

Summary
Mycroft Holmes and “Anthea” play a dangerous and sexy game, coming face to face in a duel of wits and deception, where nothing is quite as it seems. While everyone knows that Mycroft will come out on top, he might actually prefer an entirely different position. Will London be preserved? Will the French run out of letters? Why is Anthea not wearing any underwear? Should Mycroft try hot yoga? Who will finally see what wonders hide underneath the three-piece suit (TM)?
This is the story of the meeting of two pairs of intelligent grey eyes (hiding a smutty imagination), equally exasperated by the general lack of professional competence, a.k.a. how Mycroft discovered he might have danger and intelligence kinks (let's be frank, we all knew about the three-piece suit one already). Predictably, three-piece suits make an appearance but, alas, not the umbrella.
Note: Chapters 1-2 can be read as a short stand-alone piece (with very little plot).
