“Being a ninja isn’t only about fighting, it’s also important to have knowledge of the things in your surroundings. And that includes history.” Lloyd says while gesturing towards the scrolls.

“They’re just dragon horns Wyld,” Nya cautiously answered for Lloyd, eyes passing over her brother who was recovering from his waffle piece that went down the wrong pipe by chugging his glass of water.
TLDR; Arin is conflicted on the tomorrows tea incident and what else the ninja are keeping from the younger ones.

Ever since unlocking her True Potential, Sora has had to come to terms with the fact that her parents were just awful people. They never loved her, only the family image they gained from having her. That was fine though. It wasn’t like Sora needed parents, even if the idea of having someone be there for you and care for you in that sort of way had always appealed to her. Besides, if her own parents couldn’t give her that, who else could? Why bother hoping for something you’ll never have?
Ever since stopping the Mergequakes, Lloyd has come to realize just how much he cares for his students, and how afraid he is of losing them. All he wants is to protect them and keep them close. However, he knows it can’t last forever. Arin’s parents are still out there somewhere, and Sora… well, she’s independent, and he wouldn’t want to be the one to tie her down. Besides, it’s not as if they see him as anything more than their teacher and friend. Why try and change something that’s not broken?
Sora never asked to be chosen. Lloyd never thought she wanted to be. Turns out family can form even when neither one is aware of it. Funny how love works like that.

It’d been a long, long time since Sora had felt safe…..anywhere, really.
Which wasn’t really saying much, to be honest. First it had been the terribly neglectful life in Imperium, wondering when the other shoe would drop. When her parents would finally be tired of her. After Imperium, it was the constant paranoia of living in the Crossroads. Her and Arin were barely teenagers, with no real understanding of the world beyond its cruelty. Sora had never understood how Arin could be so positive constantly. Not when they were always, always in danger.
Anyways, Sora hadn’t really felt safe and apparently that had made her immune system…..better? Stronger? Or maybe she was just so stubborn that sickness never bothered her.
Now that things had settled down a bit, Sora felt. Off.
