Callisto wanted to see more.
As he stands in his ruined gallery, his apprentice torn to shreds, and his body weakened, all he can think of is just what he could have done equally to see more and to create that artwork everyone could have apricated. With his request to hear about that horrid and wonderful sights, all he can think of is what he did wrong. In that moment of self-realization, an epiphany is reached. One that gives him the strength to try and force those sights into his view, if only for a brief moment.
But by doing so, he's gone against the script and messed with powers beyond his comprehension. That act caused him to be flung through the worlds until he lands somewhere...strange. Not at all like the city, and yet a new ruin is upon it. So many different hues and shades to see, all while he learns to find new forms of beauty. Not just in the corpus that he crafts, but in the strange people that he will be surrounded by.
By contrast, Sam wants to not be murdered and turned into a meat statue by the strange 9ft tall robotic diva artist that's crashing at his house.

Summary
Emlyn finds a flaming pocket watch during his time trapped in the basement of the Harvest Church. He then encounters a living doll while browsing a store. Little did he know that this would lead him to bond with quite the chaotic cast which finds trouble no matter where they go.
Basically Emlyn meets the main cast of Limbus company and they drag him into more situations that he was not involved with before. Sherlock also gets more confused by the minute. The sinners also crash the tarot club meetings sometimes, not always or so they say.
Knowledge of Limbus Company is not necessary. LOTM probably needed for more context.

Would this be it? The first gem of his hoard that would finally make the feeling go away? Firefist would have no choice but to comply, of course, and Shamrock would make sure he wanted for nothing. He would not be the first dragon to have humans for his hoard after all.
He knew he needed to be smart about how he approached this matter. He would have to do this the right way - the old fashioned way.
Shamrock's dragon is not appeased by gems or coins, by knowledge of old or the vastness of the hoard the Figarland family had amassed. No matter how much he forces himself, he cannot be content with the cavern his ancestors had created. It's a good thing Firefist Ace's execution is plastered on all newspapers - it allows him to realize that perhaps he needs something else.
No one quite expected pirates to be that specific something else.
