M'Baku discovers a white man at the foot of his mountain and has opinions about it. Talk about an unexpected joy. This is from M'Baku's POV, and it is a delight, chock-full of all the Wakandan worldbuilding and politics a girl could dream of. The world the author builds is so rich, I feel like it transformed my whole conception of Wakanda.

YOU GUYS, this is a Blue Castle AU (!) about the Revengers (!!), specifically about sad runtling frost giant Loki who receives a terminal diagnosis and runs away from his insufferable family to try and live some life before he dies. The result is hilarious and touching and just so much fun. Everything in it is a delight.

Pre-AoU, in which Odin randomly drops Natasha, Tony, and Bruce in 1950s Havana, and they have to figure out what his purpose might be and what they're meant to do there. It's hard to even know what to say about this fic. The attention to period detail is exquisite, the character voices and dynamics are fantastic, and the romances give such a slow, careful view of what these characters see in each other (and I say that as someone who came in with no shippy feelings about any of these couples). I'm so impressed that this fic exists.

The post-IW road trip fic I walked out of the movie wanting (which is not that I wouldn't read a few hundred k more words on the topic). Great Tony voice, and Nebula feels exactly as prickly as she should. I really liked how they take turns having this calming, moral influence on each other.

A Macguffin wipes all Peggy's memories of the past several years, leaving her to look around her post-series life with fresh and deeply skeptical eyes – especially once she realizes she's in a scandalous menage a troi with Daniel and Jack Thompson of all people. This was FANTASTIC. I really love how Peggy slowly learns to trust her future self's choices, no matter how strange they appear to her. Also the relationship was great iddy stuff, especially with Jack.

I enjoyed this a lot, as a post-CW what-if. I really enjoyed seeing the common h/c dynamic flipped, with Steve as the one who's hurt and vulnerable and needs taking care of. I also really enjoyed the slow burn of both Bucky's sense of agency and worth (I was really excited when they agreed he could call Steve by his first name) and the extremely low-key romance. Also I enjoyed all the plotty action-y goodness. This was just a very satisfying read.
