The One Piece has been discovered. Straw Hat Luffy is the new Pirate King and revealed to the world the truth about the World Government and the Void Century. Akainu can’t follow a Government capable of committing such atrocities, but Im won’t allow him to turn his back on them.
Thrown in Impel Down, followed suit by every Devil Fruit user Im can get their hands on, he’s not willing to let his life end in prison.
When someone unknown sends him back in time, before Ohara’s Buster Call, Akainu seizes the opportunity to change things for the better. Or at least, his version of better.

To this day she was unsure why Rocks had let her know of his existence. Sometimes she found herself wondering where he was, how he was doing. If his ma' was still alive or not.
And now Garp brought this on her head.
"You still owe me for God's Valley," the Marine grumbled, stealing her sake bottle and taking a deep swing. Funny, she had never seen Garp drinking before. Baterilla must have affected him more than any other battle ever had. More than watching Roger walk to his death.
"Never asked for your help. Coulda just left me there."
Or Dadan is a former Rocks pirate who decided to retire and live her life in peace on Dawn. Trust Garp to mess it all up.
