There was a power station, low hanging wires buzzing with energy and electricity across a dark, heavy sky. There had been something hot and painful shooting right through him, making his bones ache and his skin burn and… He remembers someone screaming his name, wrecked sounding, marred with fresh grief and—-
Mikey feels something wet slide down his face. He brings a hand up, fingertips swiping away the moisture from his tears. He looks at his father. The knot has been swallowed down, now sitting heavy in his chest, winding itself around his heart, his voice barely escaping him as a whisper, laced with disbelief when he says,
“I’m dead?”

Summary
One-shot story. After taking down the Dimensionizer in the 1987 universe, 2012 Donatello and his '87 counterpart head to the Primary Turtle Reality to deactivate the last Dimensionizer. However, Kraang Subprime, the Kraang's master spy and Kraang Prime's right-hand man, had teamed up with his cousin, '87 Krang, to destroy the turtles and hijacks '87 Donatello's portal to prevent them from foiling their schemes, leading to the two Donatellos to end up in the 2003 Turtle universe, where both Donnies enlist the help of that universe's Ninja Turtles to destroy the Dimensionizers and stop both Krangs from destroying the multiverse. (A slight rewrite of "Trans-Dimensional Turtles")

Summary
My brothers sit huddled together on the sofa, the three of them pressed for space on the old two-seater. My father sits in the arm chair, tea in hand as he watches the story unfold on the screen. Our friends, April and Casey, share the adjacent arm chair, April at home on her partner's lap like any other day.
Raphael and Casey share the occasional joke at the expense of the actors on screen, or the people they're crammed up against. Michelangelo's getting popcorn everywhere again. Honestly, Donatello doesn't look like he's even paying attention.
As for me? I'm on the other side of the lair, katana in hand and training to perfect a particularly difficult aerial manoeuvre the Ancient One taught me.
