Aziraphale wave a hand dismissively. “Oh pish-posh, you know quite as well as I do that the Almighty doesn’t give a fig about the various genital configurations. That’s all just nonsense the humans dreamed up along the way. Of course, if it matters to you, you could always manifest a vulva. I’d be quite happy to fuck you in whichever bits you prefer... Oh dear, he’s fainted. Crowley… Crowley! Are you quite all right? Oh bother it all.”

Summary
Aziraphale sees sound, words and feelings as colours.
Crowley sees the world without colour at all – only shades of grey, light, shadow and texture.
When they meet, they begin, carefully and almost accidentally, to show each other how the world looks from their side.
A story of perception, translation, and the courage of allowing yourself to be seen in full colour.

Summary
It is thirty-six point seven degrees Celsius and climbing, and Aziraphale and Crowley have lived together for five years, and everything is completely fine.
(It is not fine.)
Crowley stops wearing shirts. Aziraphale stops coping. They drag a mattress onto the balcony, eat strawberries in the dark, and somewhere around two in the morning, under a London sky that is too warm and too honest, five years of extremely careful not-saying-it finally runs out of road.

Summary
Crowley goes too slow, Aziraphale drinks copious amounts of alcohol, and the bookshop is (very nearly) set on fire. Again.
- - - -
"Aziraphale is not one to overindulge in alcohol.
Except for when the occasion really calls for it.
And this one does.
Because - because -
He wants Crowley. He wants his companionship. He wants him here, now. He wants Crowley - he wants. He wants-
Another glass of wine. By now he’s lost count.
Because Crowley is not here. Aziraphale could call him. He could, but - but. Aziraphale is in no state. Probably. And besides, Crowley cannot come. Not tonight, at least. Maybe never. Crowley drove off, after all. Maybe Aziraphale has waited too long. Maybe he’s gone too slow.
And this thought is painful enough to warrant another drink. Or three.
He’s drunk his way through a Chateau Pontet Bordeaux red blend, an Albert Mann pinot noir, the Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva, and half of the crystal encased Glenglassaugh whiskey by this point, and he’s fine. He is. Really. Even if the room has begun to sway around him."

Summary
Stepping out the back door of the cottage and into the cool night air, Aziraphale picks his way carefully down the cobblestone path of the verdant garden, cradling two mugs full to the brim and heading toward the tartan picnic blanket laid out under a flourishing apple tree.
And the tall, lanky, red-haired being standing nearby and staring up at the sky.
The stargazing scene of the finale re-written with Aziraphale & Crowley.

“Did I say the wrong thing?”
And Aziraphale slowly turns to let Crowley see the tears leaving salty tracks down his cheeks, his devastated brow, the downturn of his mouth, the tight clench of his jaw, and his blazing, furious eyes.
“Yes.”
OR: A rewrite of the bookshop garden scene, in which Aziraphale refuses to let them go gently into that good night. Inspired by Gracie Abrams’ “Hit The Wall”. Title from the same.

Summary
Aziraphale's brows were drawn in confusion. They were pale and beautiful. The wrinkles at the corner of his frowning mouth were beautiful. His double chin was beautiful. His bloody prissy hands like some camp Oxford queen were beautiful. Crowley could write a poem to Aziraphale's ankles, thick and stable in their heather marle socks.
"Gosh, I like your body," Crowley said hysterically. "Just as much as the old one. Good love-handles."
"Are you feeling quite well?"
"No. I've gone mad. Come and live in the country with me. You can read all day and I'll tempt the village ladies into short-changing on the White Elephant."
******
After their conversation was interrupted by Death, Crowley and Aziraphale's minds were wiped of certain salient events from the last eleven years. But shadows remain. And Crowley is possessed by the conviction that the bookshop is a very dangerous place for the angel to be, and some worrying nightmares about fire.

Summary
A reimagining of "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe.
Excerpt:
Aziraphale—his sweet, lovely angel. He looks tired, even paler than usual, dark circles under his deep grey eyes, that rosy blush missing from his thinner face. He looks like a ghost of his former self; just like this dark, crumbling manor.

"Well," Crowley said. "Either you make me fall in love with you, or you die."
"Oh, well, that's quite all right then," snapped Aziraphale, then stopped to clear his throat and coughed out some more petals. "I'll just seduce Satan while I'm at it. Is Belphegor a bit lonely lately?"
"Don't be peevish with me. I'm the one having flowers and blood coughed all over my flat just because you had to be a bloody forgiving angel and go around falling in love with a demon. These carpets are white, you know."
"Oh, look, this one's a narcissus. What's that in flower language again? Selfishness?"
----
Aziraphale has a problem. Crowley wants to help him out. There's an obvious solution. -

Summary
Crowley has been suffering from Hanahaki disease for ages. It's a rainy afternoon in his flat and he's ninety-nine percent sure that this is it, his final break, only the world's most perfect (and stupid) angel has burst into his place, kissing him and calling him darling. Seems real upset about Crowley being half-dead on his sofa. Could there be a cure for this blessed curse after all?
