Summary
He can’t hang out with the boys, but he hates going home too. He hates being alone in his new flat, terrified that his dad will find out where he lives now and send them after him again. He’s taken to hanging round the club after training. He’ll find a quiet place to sit, pull out his book, and settle in for as long as he can before the stadium locks up for the night and he's forced to leave.
He’s onto the 34th book to read before you die — Emma — and is surprised by how much he likes it. In comparison to his own drama, gentle scandals and gossip are a nice escape. Today’s reading location is the boot room. The new kitman has some magic way of making it smell of lavender instead of sweaty feet, and if Jamie puts a couple of towels on the bench, it makes a nice pillow to sit on.
Mr Knightley is in the middle of yet another stern lecture — in his head, Knightley looks a lot like Roy, but he's not sure Keeley quite fits as Emma — when the door bangs open. Jamie jumps and is surprised to see Keeley standing there instead of Will, a guilty look on her face.

After a traumatic event Jamie falls apart, then puts himself back together again. He does the hard work, but he has a little help.

"Other than Lawrence, Amanda had been his first (and sometimes only) ally- friend, even- in that house, and Adam knew how much she hurt when John was away and she was left with the chaos of her own thoughts. He thought of her shaking and crying on her bed after a nightmare, swearing to him that she was okay even though he could see the scratches left on her skin by her own nails. He thought of her hands on him, so gentle as they removed the shackle and lifted him out of hell, her tears soaking into his hair as she apologised over and over. He felt dull resignation in the back of his mind. Amanda couldn’t do this- it would kill her."
I'm obsessed with how poetically beautiful this fic is. adam being the one to go in works so WELL, even though it's intended to be another amanda trap.

Summary
After his first shift turns into a disaster, Robert tries to help Waterboy gain some much-needed confidence. It works great until it doesn’t, and Robert is left reeling, not entirely sure what it is he did wrong and why the guy he thought he got along with can’t even look him in the eye anymore. They do sort things out eventually, although they need a little outside help.
aka Waterboy isn’t sure he can work with a guy if he’s constantly dreaming about climbing inside his chest and licking his organs, and Robert worries about the ethics of employing someone he’s clearly developing a crush on.

The other Curly, temporarily named Grant to differentiate between the two, is similar, yet somehow not, to the Curly that Jimmy knows. There’s just something about the way he talks, the way he takes up space in the room, and the way he doesn’t wait for approval to do or get what he wants. Dominating. Effortless.
More than that is the way he looks at Jimmy, blue eyes roving the co-pilot’s figure, pointed. It’s the way he doesn’t look away when Jimmy catches him staring, mouth curling into a mean, challenging smirk.
It makes something in Jimmy crawl with anticipation.

Perona finally breaks the silence. "Urgh! I've had it with you--emotionally constipated sword freaks!" she fumes with a petulant stomp of her cherry boots. "Fine! If you two won’t talk about it, then I’ll do it for you!" She extends her hands. "Negative Hollow!"
Twin translucent specters erupt from her palms. Mihawk effortlessly swats away the pest -- but Zoro, only halfway to his mastery of haki and ambushed from his freshly-carved blind spot, is not quite so fortunate.
Zoro crumples to his hands and knees. “I don't deserve to have you as my father.”
Perona gasps. Zoro petrifies, and Mihawk thinks, distantly, that this is what it would feel like to take a sword to the chest.
“As your what?”
