John is revived on Theseus about a year into the trip, and he’s come back both ascended and depressed. He disassociates often, which for him is a lot more literal than most. Dirk brings out a side of sadism John didn’t realise he had in him and John brings out sadomasochism that Dirk was well aware he had in him. It’s kind of romantic.

Dave has a great relationship. Karkat's a great boyfriend, doting and sweet and loving. There's just the one snag, but Dave can deal, there's more to a relationship than whatever happens in the bedroom. Dirk has said he could talk to him about anything, so, maybe he's confided now and then. Nothing too crazy. Only, his bro's been getting more and more quiet lately.
