Looking fifty kilos sopping wet, the guy didn’t even have the potential to be made up of lean muscle, like Senacchi or the twins. Hell, Kaoru probably scared him back, it’s only right to apologize.

Summary
After a live of the Five Eccentrics, a criminal appeared and attacked the crowd. However, few were hurt and only Rei was hospitalized due to fatal injury, having confronted the assailant for the sake of others.
Upon hearing the news, Kaoru rushed to the hospital, all the while letting his emotions get the better of him. Luckily, he wasn't alone. The juniors of UNDEAD also went as soon as they were notified, as well as the twins of 2wink.
UNDEAD's second attraction was a mess. Fortunately, the others were there for him, helping him overcome his trauma regarding hospitals bit by bit.

Rei woke up in the hospital to see his brother, who he last expected to be by his side upon awakening and received some scolding from the younger. Turns out the vampire knight was looking out for him too, although he masked it with an annoyed attitude.
One by one, those dear to him came for a visit and he got lectured every time. He was guilty for making them worry, yet...
Seeing their concerns warmed his heart, because they cared so much that the way they express it was unique to each of them.
And to compensate for the tears his partner shed, he decided to give the other a nice surprise.

Excalibur clatters to the ground. Douxie doesn’t notice, completely enraptured by the sight before him. A Time Stone -small, but unmistakable.
“Holy shit.” he breathes. “Holy shit. Mordrax’s Miracles, this is -this is!” he laughs, delighted about something for the first time in months.
A completely intact Time Stone, right here, with the only person on the continent who knew how to use it (and probably the only person still alive who could).
He takes it into his hands reverently, a dying man who has been given an answer to his prayers, a way to change his inescapable ending. A way to change everyone's endings.
Or: In a world where everything goes wrong, Douxie is the one to go back in time instead.

The realization hit him like a freight train, and he wasn’t fast enough to tell Rei to stop, to force the words back into his mouth so they weren’t spoken into existence, as if maybe the truth could be forestalled for another time, another day, when Kaoru was prepared, but his plea came too late.
“...attending my omiai.”
Kaoru’s mind went white.
