Summary
Khun Vegas is fourteen, notoriously difficult, and does not need a bodyguard. He needs someone who understands stillness and angles and who will stay in the room without being asked and not leave when told to.
Pete is seventeen, recently orphaned, and has a particular talent for quietly seeing things as they are. He is very good at staying.
—
Chan places Pete in the Minor Family compound on a Tuesday. Vegas decides something on a Monday. The time in between belongs to both of them.

Summary
Pete used to laugh when his father hit him — wide, fearless, every tooth on display.
Vegas never forgot the sound.
Now he sits in the back of Professor Saengtham's lecture hall, watching that mouth form careful sentences, and wonders how much porcelain it will take before Pete laughs like that again.Criminal psychology by day, pills by night. Pete tries to keep the ghosts quiet, but the fog is thinning and the nightmares follow him into daylight.
He wakes with blood on his hands and a tooth in his pocket. No memory. Only the echo of a grin he hasn't worn since he was twelve. The line between victim and monster dissolves like sugar in blood.
Fists, grins, missing molars.Chains feel like cradles. Bruises read like poetry.
Cracking of bone carries echoes that whisper "good boy".
When it hurts, it feels like love. This is not redemption.
It's two broken boys circling each other in the dark, trading tenderness for stranger's teeth, until the only thing left is the raw, beautiful space where a smile used to be.Finding pieces of each other, one or four stolen molars at a time.
Explicit. Graphic. Teeth-centric.
Come for the horror, stay for the unholy devotion. -

Summary
The entirety of space-time exists as a single, four-dimensional object. Every moment that has ever been is still being, somewhere. Permanent. Unchangeable. Real.
Pete knows the exact shape of the moment Vegas let him in. He carries it like a wound he will not allow to close, because the wound is the only thing left.
In which the Main Family lies, Pete believes them, and grief turns out to look a lot like a man who has forgotten how to want anything.

Podfic of The Courting Season by anarchycox
Original Summary:
Over winter at Kaer Morhen with Ciri, Geralt realizes that he loves Jaskier, and has for years. Everyone at the keep decides the only logical thing that can happen is that Geralt court and wed Jaskier. But Geralt wants to do it properly. So the strongest, most fearsome warriors in all the land, research how to woo a minor noble and send Geralt back into the world with elaborate lists and a game plan.
And it all is going great. Courting turns out to be a lot easier than he expected. He and Jaskier will be married well before the return to Kaer Morhen for the winter!
Jaskier is thrilled to have his best friend back, and be off adventuring again. Geralt is behaving a bit oddly, but well, people get weird sometimes.
A fic where Jaskier is the romantically clueless one. Just because he sings about love, doesn't mean he'll see it - even when it is Witcher sized and holding flowers right in his face.

Summary
Vegas has Bietti Crystalline Dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that's causing him to lose his vision. He was told it's transmittable, so he has sequestered himself from society, living in a mansion under his uncle's thumb with a robot, Venice, to keep him company.
As Macau is about to leave for college, his parting gift to Vegas will be a state of the art android.Pete is a graphic designer tired of losing out in job interviews. His artistic skills are treated as obsolete in the age of generative AI, and he's sick of it. Drowning in his grandmother's medical debt, Pete is swayed during a meeting with his best friend Porsche, who, along with his insanely rich boyfriend, ask Pete to do something insane and unthinkable: pretend to be an android for three months while they make emergency repairs to the real thing.
LOOSELY inspired by the K-Drama I am Not a Robot, but VegasPete coded.

So excited about this one. A verse where Vegas is isolated because of a health condition and Pete has to play the part of his caretaker android. Super well written, so hot, so much fun. ☆

Summary
Ominous red light pours through the room, slanting in through high, narrow windows and reflecting off the dark chains that hang from the ceiling. Pete's shoulders ache from the harsh angle of his arms, cuffed around the concrete pillar at his back. His body hangs forward, bruised and exhausted. The metal is digging into his wrists.
When Pete was eight, his grandmother had taught him how to kindle a fire. Building a nest of soft wood shavings and twigs, lighting the spark, giving the fire your breath. Then slowly, slowly adding more wood, careful not to smother the flame. Fire needed air; it would die if it was covered, hidden.
Pete didn't want to die.
Eight-year-old Pete had wanted to touch the fire.

Bookmarker's Notes
This fic is fantastic, it's like Khun Author has taken notes directly from my dreams about how I interpret their relationship as it develops in the series and gives them all the things I wish they had — the things they deserved to have.
Still a WIP, so eventually I will update this bookmark, but I already know this one is going on my shelf some day.

Absolutely delicious verse exploring VegasPetePorsche dynamics. Drenched in tasty kink, scorching hot, amazingly well written. I'm in love with every single description of Pete slipping into subspace. Delightful. Does justice to Pete's perfection. ☆

Bookmarker's Notes
I read through this entire fic in one go and when I got to the end I literally squealed into my hand in the dark. This is seriously so so so delicious it's a little hard to articulate.
An alternative path for Vegas and Pete getting together — a mission has them falling into the classic delicious fake boyfriends trope and of course they're very good at it.
Scorching hot, even before we even get to the sex. Vegas and Pete's interactions drip with sexual tension, impossible to ignore even through all the layers of awkwardness and self-deprecation and bodyguard duty that lace Pete's (very well written) POV. The characters are spot-on, and the Author works Vegas' intensity and violence beautifully into the way he interacts with Pete.
Ticks some of my favorite VP boxes: we have BDSM elements, ownership, collaring, biting and marking, Vegas dressing Pete up, public displays of affection and kink, public smut... oh my. It's delicious stuff.
We also get to see their connection develop in a less horrifying scenario than the safehouse, which is actually very sweet. All the important elements are here, we get to see Pete helping Vegas through his abuse and opening up to Vegas about his childhood, too. It's quite lovely.
This one is going on my shelf. ☆
