He pressed his hand into his thigh muscle, it burned a bit. How would this massage therapist do it? He did sometimes knead his leg muscles to relief cramps, but his back he could never reach in quite the right places. Another person would surely be better.
He felt ungrateful towards Xue Meng who went out of his way to pick out a way to relieve his stress, yet here he was, too dysfunctional to let himself get touched by another person.
His therapist would probably be an older man who had been doing this for years, having seen and touched all types of bodies.Maybe... It wouldn't be so bad after all?

Lan Zhan took a moment to unwrap the delicate paper patterned with clouds. Inside was a silver hairpin, an amber stone nestled in the end, limbs of silver delicately wrapped around it, etched in a floral design. It was beautiful and very expensive for a servant’s son. She looked up at Wei Ying in question, who blushed.
“When I wrote to my parents about jiejie, I mentioned how pretty jiejie’s eyes were, so my parents sent back the amber? Apparently, they were offered it as a gift for helping with a night hunt years ago and the uncle and auntie in the night market offered to make it into a hairpin if I spent the past few weeks helping out at the store and-”
Lan Zhan calmly slipped the hairpin into her hair, before grabbing Wei Ying by the arm and yanking him inside the Jingshi.

Clearly, at this point, Lan Wangji didn’t consider Wei Ying to be so unbelievably improper as to discard him as a future mate. Wei Ying simply needed to fix that! “I need a mate that’s good in bed!” He declared boldly. The crowd burst into a chaotic mess at that. Suck it, Lan Wangji! You’re holding hostage a political nightmare! “I need a mate that’s so good in bed I shouldn’t be able to walk for days afterward! So good I shouldn’t be able to speak properly when they’re done with me!” Wei Ying crowed loudly, practically singing out all the things his poor virgin brain had fantasized about. He saw one older woman in the crowd swoon in shock. He grinned. “If my mate isn’t good in bed then what’s the point!? I’m a crow so I’ll be stuck in my nest forever until our babies are hatched, I’d die of boredom if the sex was bad! I’d fall asleep halfway through!” He whined loudly.
Wei Ying had been so caught up in the crowd’s reaction that he missed the way Lan Wangji’s golden gaze grew more and more heated with every word.
