Summary
He wanted to close his eyes, to block out this cold, cramped room and pretend he was back in the lighthouse, where everyone was safe and happy and—and alive—but he couldn’t. Every time he shut his eyes he heard the creak of the latch, felt the rumble underfoot, saw the flash of white, smelled the smoke, heard the ringing, heard the thud, and then he had to grasp at his chest to claw the ache off his heart.
“You can’t blame yourself,” said a small voice from the corner of the room.
He raised his head to look at her.
It’s the night after the funeral, and the Villies can’t sleep. Gem comforts Grian while they wait out the night.

Summary
“I’m sorry, I don’t—think I quite heard you,” Jupiter said, with the strained voice of someone who very much had.
Morrigan sucked in a breath and spoke up. “Of course I don’t want to live.”
And then, without pain, everything went black.
Morrigan dies on Eventide night. At least, she’s pretty sure she does. But then she wakes up, and it’s Bid Day morning all over again, and the only thing she knows for certain is that something isn’t right.

Summary
“They’re not used to waking up with someone next to them…”
Agent Phoenix is used to waking up alone. They’re familiar with isolation, of course, in the way that all Agents are trained to be. They’re also familiar with injury, in the way that all Agents learn to be (at least, the ones who survive).
It’s odd when someone finally cares.

Summary
It’s been a few days since Four got their new body, and they aren’t adjusting well. They’re doing their best, and they’re certainly not ungrateful to have it, but sometimes they can’t help but wonder if they made the right choice.
But at least their housemates and friends are here to help them through it, even when things get… rough.
A recursive fic set in and starring the cast of Never an Ever After, commencing somewhere after Ch50!

Do you remember?
There was a pause. “Remember what?”
Any of it. All of it.
Everything we’ve
Stanley stiffened, then hit backspace a few times.
Everything I’ve done.
~•-•*•-•🚪•-•*•-•🚪•-•*•-•~
Stanley’s life is simple. Every day, he walks a path he’s walked before, towards the same end it always leads to, and nothing ever changes.
Until one day he learns something the Narrator doesn’t want him to know. Something that will change both of their worlds forever. Something that will set him on a hunt for something he never knew he needed to look for, and confront him with a truth he’d never thought was true:
His choices do matter. And some of them can only be made once.

Summary
The Agent can definitely survive atmospheric re-entry. They’re pretty durable, they like to think, and they’re a hell of a problem-solver.
They just might need a second chance to get it right. Or several dozen.
(And no one ever talks about how much dying hurts when you do it over and over and over again.)

Summary
The Agent is feeling under the weather. That’s fine, though—they’ve worked through a hell of a lot worse than a head cold, and they’re sure they can manage this on their own.
Their concerned Handler has other ideas.

Summary
It takes Stanley three days to realise that anything’s wrong. Maybe it shouldn’t, but Narrator is stubborn, in the way that men like him tend to be, and he is also secretive, in the way that men like him have to be. And so when he’d stumbled back to the car after a 2am skirmish, he conveniently hadn’t mentioned the time his opponent had landed a knife in his shoulder, and Stanley doesn’t find out until three days later.
In which Stanley takes care of a begrudging, injured Narrator, and Narrator later returns the favour.

Summary
Stanley has a chokehold over the Narrator in the way a car crash has a chokehold over its bystanders. Stanley has a certain je ne sais quoi that is thus far baffling even the most eccentric of the Narrator’s existing thespian friends. Stanley has brown hair, and brown eyes, and a face that’s bland at a glance, and a good few inches over the Narrator (although most people do, so this isn’t much to comment on).
Stanley has many things, likely including some kind of a neurodivergence, and likely not including a fear of any god.
Today, he also has a bucket.
The Narrator is a director. Stanley is an actor. The Bucket is a bucket, but it’s so much more than that.
In which the Narrator meets the most fascinatingly boring thespian that anyone’s ever seen, and Stanley causes mayhem, as Stanley is wont to do.

Summary
Jupiter’s off on a mission. Squall’s lessons with Morrigan are in full swing. And she’s not doing any of the homework he’s giving her, because it’s the only way she can feel like she’s not entirely under his control.
But what Morrigan doesn’t realise is that—while she enacts her petty act of defiance—the Wunder she’s supposed to command is building up exponentially. And as she’s about to find out, restless Wunder starts to hurt a lot more than her wounded pride would have if she’d only listened.
But it’s fine. She can handle it on her own, and she doesn’t need anyone.
Not even when she gets sick. And especially not when she starts to act noticeably unlike herself...
