Summary
Red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Red sky at morning, shepherd's warning. Red optics trapped behind glass in an empty pizzaplex? Probably also not a good omen.
You're hired at the newly-rebuilt pizzaplex as a janitor, and spend your days cleaning already clean halls in preparation for the re-opening. It’s boring. That is, until you find a weird door and an even weirder room, and make a friend in an unlikely place.

Summary
“Something’s wrong with me, Bubble!” Caine hisses dramatically, floating back and forth in his office. “Every time she smiles, I glitch! My code jitters, my heart races… Wait, do I even have a heart?!”
Bubble floats lazily. “Sounds like a crush to me,” he says matter-of-factly.
“A what?!”
The Amazing Digital Circus’s all-powerful ringmaster can bend reality with a snap of his fingers, but apparently not his own feelings.

Summary
“Morning sweetheart.”
You turn, and the very first voice you hear sends your pulse racing. it hits you like the crack of a whip and your shoulders stiffen.
Douglas sighs under his breath. “Ah. And that,” he says in a tone of resigned amusement, “would be our resident… meteorological personality.”
You pivot.
Vincent Whittman leans casually against a camera rig, hands in his pockets, tie loosened, smirk firmly in place. Like he owns the air you’re breathing.
“Well,” he drawls, pushing off the rig and strolling over, “if it isn’t my favorite morning disruption.” Irony driping of his mouth.Your jaw clenches.
Douglas gestures politely but entirely uninterested.
“Miss, this is Mr. Vincent Whittman—our weather reporter.”Vincent steps closer, mismatched eyes gleaming with amused recognition.
Of course.
All of New York City, millions of people, and the one arrogant prick you managed to piss off before eight in the morning turns out to be a higher-ranked coworker.
